I have 2 Birman cats from the same litter and they are 6 years old. They are so tolerant and friendly. They still act like kittens! The boy is a blue point and the girl is a red point. They are so fluffy and I love them with all of my heart.
Juliette Ohara i compare mine too a dog. Always want attention. Talks a lot and he will wake up just by hearing my engine sound. Hes moewing and follow me until i give him huge Hi hug. He cuddle me almost all night and sleep in his basket next to my keyboard. They are good manipulator haha but so lovable

I love this video so much. It evokes wonderful memories of my seal point Birman, Tallulah (Lulu). She was so very precious to me. Her personality was loving mischief with a touch of saucy little flirt. She was a Champion show cat, but retired early to just enjoy life. I unfortunately lost her in her 13th year to an autoimmune disease that came out of nowhere and miss her every single day. Have two wonderful kitties since but they can't be compared. There's nothing as sweet as a Birman.Someday maybe I'll have another.
I've got two birmans, one's 9 years old and the other almost 8 and the craziest thing is they've never ever fought, they get on like a house on fire despite being two males. Such fantastic cats, they've made me breed loyalists! I'll never even consider getting anything else.
I miss my Birman buddy. He passed away in 2016. His exact age was unknown when we got him, but estimated at about 8, which means he lived until he was 21 or so! Long life for a kitty. Best breed ever. My next cat will be another Birman for sure. I hope I'll be able to eventually find one at a shelter, because I personally have trouble going through a breeder when there are so many unwanted cats being put to sleep daily.
