damn I'm just now realizing that and i've finished a crack in time over a bajillion times. I love the Ratchet and Clank games. I can't wait until they continue the story with the new R.N.C. game that will come out in probably 7 or 8 months.
I love how at the end of tools of destruction ratchet tells the dimensionator to find home, and ends up back in polaris. Such a touching way to say that ratchet belongs there, in that dimension, not into the lombax dimension with the rest of his kind.

Ratchet & Clank is my greatest childhood game of all time. I loved playing most of the games. 1, 2 & 3 are like the gold standard of the Ratchet & Clank games. The 4th which is 'Deadlocked' was decent as well. The honourable ones goes to 'Tools Of Destruction' & 'A Crack In Time' which is probably the most emotional game that had a great story too :D

Yeah Nexus was good too. Just wish it was longer and there was an actual boss with Vendra. Idk what continuity Rift Apart will follow, but considering it involves dimensions, hopefully it continues off of Nexus and fixes the character issues the reboot has.

Back in the day I bought a PS3 as I thought a console would a good thing to spend my money on. And it came with one singular game. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time. I had no clue just how fucking lucky I was. This is by a long shot the best game I’ve ever played. Ever. Super fun gameplay, great pacing in terms of story and difficulty of gameplay. The story is phenomenal, charming, deep, and hilarious. Amazing length. Not too long and complicated and not too short and easy. Just the perfect length. What a masterpiece that I was just lucky to come by. Keep in mind this was the first PS3 game I’ve ever played with no prior knowledge on Ratchet and Clank. The nostalgia and great memories bring tears and joy to myself.

How this series fell after Deadlocked is kinda sad imo. I loved the future saga, but R&C is trying so hard to be a whimsical pixar movie instead of the badass, satirical, action platformer it did so perfectly back on ps2, considering it would stand out WAY more today by doing that than what it does now. Ratchet and Clank’s personalities also got butchered after the original game which further shows how mishandled this series is. They tried to retcon the ps2 games by cramming in a generic rushed story and pretending characters and events from the past games don’t exist but still makes references to those past events, making the whole plot-hole ridden future saga feel messy and unnecessary. These cutscenes are still great to watch though, shows how long this series has been going.
