My most sincere complaint about Rift Apart was that the writing is so disappointing compared to the PS2 games. The jokes in this can be so nuanced and sharp. Each character really gets their moment to shine too.
Personally, I see almost nothing wrong with writing in RA. The characters were great and every cutscene was a joy to watch. It's not as funny as this game, but it focuses more on the internal conflicts of the characters.
