I wish I was as confident in the things I'm educated in and knowledgable about as some people online are about things they clearly have a peripheral knowledge about at most. Whenever any kind of lifting clip goes viral the comments are always unbelievably uninformed but stated with all the confidence in the world
The dead giveaway of you not being confident is using the word not in your profile name haha especially the first word. Just kidding around, participating in this shttalk
You guys are truly a beacon of knowledge and common sense in the field. As a world-class idiot with a child-like curiosity, who loves lifting and likes to learn new things, you guys are the light house I keep an eye on as I sail in my duct-taped rubber dingy through the ocean of youtube shite. Thank you so so much ❤
Regarding social media comment that is so true. I was following 20 guys that could bench 500+ lbs, started thinking 500+ lbs bench is normal. It is NOT. It's like .05 % out of 8 billion people. Great conversation.
@@movestattoo4561wow wait what. You mean no woman has benched 500 in competition? Thats a crazy stat. I think there are one or two that could do it with a few years run up
The way people confidently assert that some content is wrong is fascinating, disturbing and baffling, but also so satisfying to make fun of. So many topics where an expert posts an idea, opinion, etc , and comments say things like “this is wrong because I learned in college…” when this poster IS a professor of the subject and sometimes elite among professors in the field. I think some people just can’t/wont/ don’t recognize that not everyone posting is some random person who doesn’t know anything about the subject. They interpret everyone as a rando even less informed than they are.
Love these segments. Hunting and lifting are two of my favorite things, but I could listen to you guys read the phone book. I've been wondering, is chronic wasting disease an issue in the deer in Ireland or is the just a U.S. thing? I know you don't have whitetails, but I was wondering if CWD or something similar is occurring in other ungulate populations. Sure, I could Google it, but I'd rather hear it from you guys. Keep up the good work.
13:30 hell even 180kg high bar ATG is impressive for general population. I go to an Anytime Fitness in a metropolitan city CBD and have only ever seen 1 other person squat that much (and he did it low bar to parallel)
Depends on how much to value squat vs run, I'd be partial to kg. Thinking about it more, would probably make sense to score Seconds - Kilos, where lowest score wins, to avoid everyone but high-level atheltes just being in the negatives.
@@jimmytyson6726I don’t think ANYONE is in negatives on that formula. At world record pace, you'd need to squat 224 kg, or 300 kg at 5 min mile. I don't think either is particularly close to achievable 😂😂
I have to take electrolytes or I have issues with my bladder and with dizziness. Had actual heat stroke, not heat exhaustion in my early teens and now I struggle with keeping my balance, and if I’m not having loads of sodium I’ll feel light headed through the day, get headaches, and have to wake up a minimum of two times a night to pee like a race horse
33:45 I don't think you have to start your own business. But either way, you should be making some kind of investment with your time that makes you more money in the future (and not right now). So hustle culture of side gigs to trade time for money at a flat rate is kind of shite. But if you can invest in a skill that nets you a higher salary on the job market, devoting ~3-5 hours per week to that for a year is going to be massively, massively good for future you. Alternatively, yes, investing your time and effort into a business that can net you recurring revenue over time is also good.
Regarding the mile, consider that 6 of the fastest 10 all-time high school miles have occurred since 2021…. Personally I’m very skeptical that this is drug-related.

Indeed. The Dunning Kruger effect is strong with the masses, unfortunately. Having such strong (uninformed) opinions on things they barely understand.

Oh absolutely. I know where you are at.
To talk in a confident uniformed way, you need to see someone else gazing back at you in the mirror.

finally another one!! cheers lads I'm stuck in the airport for 8 hours, this'll help 👍🏽
Man something about a shit talk on a Sunday! Love it!
Very excited to listen to this during cardio tomorrow
You’re watching a weightlifting podcast during sex? /s
Being raised poor I would never like a snobby person but a squat snob always has my vote😏
Always good to see a Shite Talk in the inbox 🤝
Thank god for a shit talk lads. Merry Christmas and a happy new year
He said "B C double As." What a boss 😂🤣🤣 never again will I say B C A As
That's how we say it in my corner of the woods too.
More of this lads, it always is grand!

I would guess that number is even lower. No woman has ever benched 500lbs and has no one ever benched 500lbs under the 220lbs weight class?
Much rarer than .05% and John Haack, but there are others
@@MichaelMackenzie-nt2rf probably true. I don't know if anyone knows the exact number but I agree it is very low.

Would be interesting to see a Squat/Run competition where Squat weight - Mile Time in seconds = Score. Is that similar to the event you talked about?
What units would you use? Pounds and seconds?

AHHHHHHH THANK THE GODS!!!!
Hey, is this on any podcast app? Heading to Scotland tomorrow, UA-cam's not the best for listening on the train

Wouldnt Lasha be able to do the squat challenge ? It would take a bit of training but I think he has it.
Love the shit talk
The Return
New hardcore drinking game.
Drink every time he mentions his 300kg squat
Let's talk some shit 😂😂. HAPPY new year everyone 🇨🇮🤝🇺🇲
I’d say quite a few of the heavier Decathletes would be able to do the 500lbs and sub 5.15 minutes in the mile.
Murph nails my feelings on the comments sections of NASA and physics stuff. Physicists must have the most insane inboxes outside of celebrities.

U.S. high school, that is
Consider the rise of supershoes - drugs have been rife for years, only difference is people were escaping testing during COVID
