What a peculiar review. I bought mine yesterday hooked it up and overall pleased with the sound. I am relieved as well that you can independently reduce the bass if required as Bose can be a bit over the top in this regard. I am not Bose fan as such and I can confirm the sound quality to be good. The other thing I found completely strange is you knock the build quality - I am no expert with soundbars but as far as I am concerned the build quality seems fine to me. Weird review.

I love this speaker so much, I bought two. Could it be priced better? Sure, without a doubt, but the speaker is perfect for bedrooms and other small areas... Definitely not for the entertainment room.

So I ordered one of these and have now received it. The sound is fantastic. Couldn't be happier with it. You clearly have an issue with bose. I mean you spent the last few minutes of your video promoting a different soundbar when you are reviewing a bose. Not cool.

Just ordered one of these. Connect via arc you don't use the remote, the TV remote is all you need.
I came here to say exactly this. You don't need to control it in any other way because of Arc. It's literally called the TV Speaker.

I was ready to order this. I'm just looking for a standalone soundbar. Not interested in any subwoofers. What would you recommend instead of this? I mainly want one with the best sound I can get for around this price.

To defend the bar a bit: the design of the Bose Soundbars is meant to be as minimalistic as possible. The TV speaker is probably intended to be used with HDMI ARC to show volume controls on display. Same thing with the 500 and 700, but these can display volume in the app, when ARC is not working etc. I love my Bose Soundbar 500, that’s why I was really shocked, when listening to the new TV Speaker through your video. It’s really not worth its asking price. I expected the build quality to be similar to my Soundbar 500, which it certainly isn’t. A JBL Bar 2.1 Deep Bass seems to be a way better deal, like the Yamahas or the Polk MagniFi Mini, you’ve mentioned in your review. I’d be really interested in hearing your thoughts on the bigger Bose soundbars (Soundbar 500 & 700). Thank you for your review.

I did purchase the new TV Speaker to replace the garbage Roku wireless speakers that I have> I agree with you that there are better ones out there but I do feel that budget and how it sounds to the consumer are most important as well as listening to reviews. Thanks for your video.

Not really. If u really think about it what is the real difference between the two soundbars? Tv speaker more input option plus a better look but the sound is the same.
Just wanted to let you know that you can control the bass with the +/- buttons. Just press the "bass" button and then go with the +/- option, as simple as that :)
Hi man, wondering if you ever tried the Sony HT-X8500 Soundbar ? it's the single piece soundbar as well within the same price range to Bose TV Speaker where I live. Want to know if that one or this Bose boy 'd be better for your opinion.

I dint even like Bose (well some of the headphones are ok) but you start telling everyone its overpriced and not worth it over 9 well over 9 minutes in to the video and haven't even listen to the SB yet. And your comparing it to the Sonos Beam (which is a great SB) but its $400 and you actually listened to the Sonos SB and at this point in the video haven't listen to the Bose SB yet. Your complaining it doesn't have Alexa, most people already own multiple devices that have Alexa if they even use it. I like your reviews, but you may actually want to listen to a speaker product before saying its overpriced, just sayin.

How does this perform compared to the bose solo 5? I've just watched your review on it and you said that when it was plugged into the tv the audio was great and for 200 - 250 it was a steal.

I've made a change in my opinion due to reviewing much more soundbar for the price range of $200-250. With that being said there is no way I would personally pay that much for the Bose solo 5 or tv speaker.

I actually had to sell my Polk Magnifi Mini because of the unsecured Wi-Fi it was giving off. For some reason the Polks Wi-Fi slowed my Smart TVs internet connection to a crawl and sometimes disconnected the Wi-Fi altogether from my Samsung TV. So I went with this.
Bro, I bought a 5.1 system from Amazon from a local brand for about INR 2100 ($28) over a year ago. Still working flawlessly and has superb sound (sadly lost the video I made). It has got bluetooth, Flash drive, SD card and AUX playback and comes with a remote. If anyone needs the link...reply here. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON BOSE.

Denon DHT-S316= $411
Now according to you which one I should be going for as per price to performance criteria. Haha I know ur going to say none but still if I have to pick one out of these which one will it be?
Also if you could share your audio experience with Denon DHT-S316 soundbar (Japanese Brand) as people have rated it quite highly on Amazon here in India. Your thoughts on this?

I feel like my Polk Mini sounds better and it includes a wireless subwoofer. I got it on special for 100 dlls! Common bose its 2020 for 250 it should be way better than the solo 5

@@KosherTech Will do, Im using it as both a TV speaker and a computer speaker.. this will be the 3rd soundbar in the apt..
The first is the Sonos Beam as I mentioned, the second I had just built a computer and wanted something better than computer speakers so I scooped up the TAOTRONICS 32" which worked well. For it's purpose and for $70-80, the sound is actually pretty good..
For the living room.. I'm building the girlie a PC, that I will use too for movie stuff.. the monitor is going to be the TV.. that is where the Polk Audio soundbar/sub will go.
I'll definitely let you know my thoughts on it.
That Polk Magnifi Mini is not a good buy. I have had two and both have a crackling speaker issue. Lots of people have check the Polk troubleshooting forum. Sucks about this Bose too because none of the $300 and under sound bars look any good.

This review is crap, I believe this product is for people who have no interest in a $400+ home theater system but do want better regular tv sound ,because as we all know most tv's have extremely poor sound that has to be turned up all the way because dialogue and back ground noise are jumbled together with no bass what so ever. Maybe if there was actual comparisons between this and the "sound bars" mentioned the review would have a leg to stand on. I myself have a bose sound link mini ($159) as an alternative tv speaker that is 100% better than the stock built in tv speaker on a 50"sony.

I have a Dock D Fine Bluetooth Speaker. Neocore A4 Tsunami Speaker.Sony Bluetooth Speaker. But i also have Bose Soundlink Mini and Bose Soundlink 3 Bluetooth Speaker and my two Bose ones offer vurtually nothing but yet there are more expensive than my other ones. But yet my Dock In D Fine. Neocore and Sony all can be used as a Power Bank to charge smartphones and tablets.. The Dock D Fine and Neocore A4 Tsunami also are Water Resistant and cost £59 and £101 respectively.Bose Soundlink Mini was £169 also the Soundlink 3 was £169 but for a sale price.and only thing they got going for them is the sound. But to me my Dock In D Fine and Neocore Wave A4 Tsunami plus the Sony sound better or just as good as my ones and are cheaper. So offer more in terms of functionality and sound just S good but are cheaper than my Bose ones..Bose are just a rip off and I can say that as I have all these speakers. How is it possible that two of my unbranded speakers sound better than my Bose ones and cost so much less?I agree with Kosher on this completely.

Can't blame the man for going crazy back in the day when there was far less competition it was easy for the likes of Bose.Bose reminds me of Apple,they have the attitude there products are premium so they look to charge over the top prices..Apple charge ridiculous money for there iPads but yet no micro SD card expansion..While Android offer better value for money for cheaper products. Again how is that even possible?I've also had an Echo Studio Speaker £139 it cost and quite powerful and for that money it's not just Bluetooth it's also WiFi and obviously uses Alexa being an Amazon Echo Speaker. A Smart Speaker that I can make commands with,. Again this Bose Speaker offers no commands or even connrcts to WiFi.. I'm like Kosher the more you pay you expect better but yet the likes of Bose and Apple take there customers for granted. No need to stick with Apple and Bose anymore..I'm not interested in paying for how something looks I'm interested in value for money..My Dock D Fine Speaker doesn't just sound good but the build quality looks the part for £101 try that would Bose and you'd be paying 3 times more and it does even offer a Power Bank like my Dock In D Fine Speaker does.

Speech clarity is good as a sound bar I wasted $270.00. I waited to long to return it. My TV speakers are better. Don’t buy this piece of crap. Bose dropped the ball on this one .
