    Once and for all, we were not trying to proof that the earth is a sphere (actually it is a geoid, and we know that), it was just an experiment to send a camera to high altitudes, and of course, the video is distorted due to the fisheye lens, but as I sad, the aim wasn´t to proof any curvature.

    • @daniel24196

      We used a gopro like camera: Qumox SJ4000. It worked fine. The prediction was just to get a sense where it might land, but it actually landed "quite" near the prediction, about 30km away.

      Why use a fish-lens at all? I don't even see whats the point using one to begin with.

    Stratosphere balloons are awesome, because they give us such easy access to very high altitudes. We're a team of science and engineering students who builds CubeSats and Stratosphere balloons and we're impressed with your work!

    What is that at 11:00 ? Its not a chemtrail. Like a sphere with a cube inside? Is this one of those UAP they have recently been reporting about?

    The most interesting thing for me is the colour of the sky. It is getting darker when you are getting closer to the space. And what about safety? Is there a chance this baloon could collide with a plane?

    Tolle Aufnahme!!

    I see the line of field turning curve when still close to the ground, it means it still use a little bit ratio fish lense eyes, in the video it makes so clear it effect long radius and make it tobe curve like round for long radius.
    If using pure normal camera the earth is still gonna be flat

    Cool Project Guys..
    I have a dout.. Why not use a pressure relief valve and time it approximately so that the balloon can go a bit more higher may be 40 - 45 km before it burst..!??

    • @daniel24196
      @daniel24196  8 років тому

      Thanks! Good idea! But i think that wouldn´t work efficiently because there would be less uplifitg force as soon as the air densitiy reaches the value of the density of the gas.

    • @daniel24196
      @daniel24196  6 років тому

      Yes, it can go a bit higher. The balloon is expanding as it gets higher because of the lower pressure until it bursts. With other balloons, you might get a little higher.
