- Just walking out of our hotel in New Orleans, we found this amazing music group playing and dancing. The music was so good, it gave me chills. The band is The Smoking Time Jazz Club. Happy birthday Trenda!

Glad to see people still playing and enjoying real music instead of trash.
I'm only 15 and all I see in my future is moving to New Orleans. Oh, just thinking of the French Quarter and the all the jazz, voodoo culture, art, festivals, food, and people makes me feel all warm inside.

The singer does have a great voice. She sounds great without any major equipment to aid her. That's admirable.
Music is a joyous or somber sound from our souls. It is special to us as human beings in helping us celebrate or contemplate our humanity. So, why not just let this wonderful swing jazz speak to us, roll over us, and engulf us with its joy?
this is what my dad use to listen too and i still wish at times he was alive to hear this old stuff.. thankyou for the music.

yet another fantastic performance by new orleans best band with their fantastic sarah on vocals and also those two brilliant dancers , an absolute pleasure to watch and listen to ........hope you guys strike it big sometime very soon.

When I was born I remember seeing the lights shine the streets full of people talking playing music and in the mornings the jazz musicians would let you wear there hat and dance around just makes you think what has happened since then till today :(

My mother Beulah worked at the Hotel Monteleone on Royal Street in New Orleans, Louisiana for 15 years. The dance is just Ragtime Dancing that you just learn from living in the New Orleans area and from visiting there.
Awesome music and dance. I miss going into the Quarter.....maybe again one day.

absolutel fantasic music,nice to hear th old time New Orleans and ensmble style jazz. The amazing dancing (Twenties type is an added bonus,if only we had this in Australia. WOW! Nice to hear real jazz again.Terry Offor Melbourne.

+George plungis Sarah Peterson is their regular singer and she's been with Smoking Time Jazz Club from the beginning. You can hear her much better in other videos with a mic available. She's actually a pretty strong singer.
