Parades isn’t UFA until 28 and Hayden until 30. Lots of controllable years for one year of Tuck. If parades can produce at the 3 war year he has been and you can fix Hayden then it’s a steal no matter what happens with the prospect. Dynasty ended last year. West is still very winnable and FA isn’t over.
This bro. 54% and Sacramento isn't going to win the west and the Rangers are fighting themselves
ParEdes will be much better in HOU than with the cubs, he pulls the ball 95% of the time so those boxes are gonna help a lot
Not mentioning Pena won a gold glove in 22 along with the other awards is criminal.
He sucks
What for? only to make more huge of the drop he has had??
As a rangers fan, it feels kinda weird not seeing him with the astros
It is
Shut up loser
@Flashspeed84YT you are right about it being strange not seeing Tucker with Houston.
tell me about it I'm an Astros fan and I remember when him and Yordan were the up and coming stars in 2019 that's about to be 6 years ago, it's understandable tho I doubt we'll get Bregman back and I don't think Tucker was staying next year the Astros don't like to throw money around ig Peredes is decent enough as a 3rd baseman I say the Astros should've traded Framber instead we got a lot of pitchers coming back next season and he's been having a lot of meltdowns lately specially against the Rangers
Hey that just makes them less competitive so I’ll take it go Rangers.
You will be missed tuck !
People say this every time in the past 8ish years the astros have lost a big player lol. Astros lost cy young candidate Cole, they're cooked! But in 2020 they were a few outs and a healthy Verlander and Yordan from going back to the world series. 2021 after they lost Springer, people were so sure the team was cooked cuz he was the leadoff hitter lol. But in 2021, they went back to the WS and would've won if Lance McCullers didn't get hurt in the ALDS. Correa leaves in the 2021 offseason, OMG he was the heart and soul of the team! They're for sure cooked now going with a rookie SS! Oops, the rookie that replaced him was the 2022 world series MVP lol, and yea Peña isn't an all star by any means, but still, they won the world series without Correa. And in 2023 they were a Kyle Tucker ALCS choke from beating the fluke rangers and going back2back in the WS. 2024 they made it back to the playoffs despite all the pitching injuries, and had they not choked in the wild card series (which they had to play cuz they lost more games than normal cuz of said pitching injuries) they would've gone back to the ALCS at a minimum, and likely back to the world series.
TLDR: The point is, losing Tucker isn't the end of the world for the astros.
Some people just never learn. 🤷🏻♂️
I mean when the Astros went on that run Kyle Tucker didn’t even play he played most of the year when the Astros were losing 😂
“Fluke Rangers” We’ll see this year if it was a fluke.
@ryanf219 we already saw in 2024 that it was a fluke LMAO
Well said!
A few things to note as an Astros fan:
Tucker has pretty good defense. He won a gold glove in 2022. His bat has only gotten better as the years go on, he sucks in the postseason though. He rarely contributes much in offense during the postseason.
Correa should have been kept. Pena is fine and won a gold glove, but Correa has won a platinum glove. Correa's offense is also good. Luhnow would have paid him.
Springer was never coming back. He was unhappy at the Astros and sold his Houston house in the middle of that year. Its unlikely he would have accepted any offer.
Really the Astros problem when it comes to things like this is Dana Brown and James Click. Both are horrible GMs. Luhnow was an amazing GM, its he who built this team. To see Click and Brown throw all Luhnow's hard work away is painful. Luhnow was part of the aftermath of 2017 when Crane fired basically everyone.
Crane will not spend a lot on one contract. Even so the Astros have the third highest payroll. It just comes from paying the wrong players too much. Mccullers is making 15mill a year to sit on the bench. Hader was a good signing but he underperformed last year. Astros are still on the hook for Jose Abreu as well.
Its just painful to watch what a mess ownership is in. I sometimes wish Crane would sell the team and someone who is willing to make the right moves would come in.
Its completely baffling how managerment has traded the future of the team for rentals. It happens every year and drives me insane.
I hope your shittalking teams to the promised land works on the Astros tho.
i agree with most of what you said but i think you’re a little too harsh on crane, keep in mind compared to our last owner, crane actually spends money and tanks, he is the reason why the astros are who they are today, of course with help of lunhow and others, but we’ve been so good for so long that it’s to the point to where he’s willing to spend quite a bit for short term success before we have to rebuild again, hence why we’ve been trading a lot of prospects recently for players we’re only gonna have for half a year
The Astros at the point where all of their trade-deadline deals of past seasons are starting to catch up to them. They have a solid hitting core in Diaz, Altuve, Pena, and Alvarez to go along with a solid starting pitching core of Valdez, Brown, and Blanco... but outside of that there are some massive holes. Even with their core, they have issues.
Alvarez is one of the worst fielders in the game, but they can't always use him at DH because that would force Diaz to be overplayed at catcher (he's a liability there) or first base. I question how healthy Altuve is going to be at his age and with his injury history. With Pena, his last two seasons have been average hitting and above average fielding; he's the sort of solid piece that any team would like but he can't carry a team.
Overall, they seem to be in the awkward position that the Yankees and Cardinals spent 2014-2023 in... which is to say that they have solid cores and a fanbase that is expecting massive wins... but they don't have the supporting pieces in place to be series contenders... and yet, they also aren't bad enough to give up and enter a re-build phase. They are in the "good enough to make the playoffs but not good enough to win the World Series" purgatory of baseball.
This is very sad, bruh
I agree mostly with your assessment, but a few things I disagree with: Alvarez is NOT the worst outfielder in the game. In fact, his fielding percentage is about average as he runs well for a big man (doesn't need to cover much area either with a short porch behind him at home games). He also has an ELITE RIFLE ARM that throws out baserunners and is rated highly in that regard which is why the Astros have put him in the outfield alot so saying he's one of the "worst outfielders" is completely unfounded. Diaz is not a liability as a catcher as he has one of the best throwing arms at that position and has prevented alot of wild pitches from getting past him; only 25 years old and he's only going to get better. Altuve has been pretty durable throughout his career for the most part and has been on the DL a few times (just like your average major leaguer, no one escapes not getting hurt at all) so I wouldn't say he has a long "injury history" as you peg him to have. I'm not sure, but I think the longest I've seen Altuve on the DL is when got a broken thumb while playing in WBC after getting beaned.
It wasn't going to last forever. No team stays at a "we're going to make the LCS at least, every year" level forever. Even the Dodgers and Yankees haven't done that in the past 40 years. The last time a baseball team was absolutely dominant for an extended stretch was when the Yankees won 7 titles in 9 years... in the 1950's.
What gives me a little hope is that they made their big comeback last year without Tucker, and Bregman had the worst year of his career. The 3B they received from the cubs had more RBI’s than Bregman last year. But you obviously want Tucker in your lineup.
That was more attributable to the Mariners collapsing.
@ Leave my hope alone!!! I’m sensitive!
day 1 of asking iTalk to make a video on the blue jays downfall
Hmmmm
when were they ever good? i don't remember them in the post season. not since Rougnet Odor & Jose Bautista
@@marcuswilliams7512they were in the wildcard 2 years ago. Lost to the Mariners.
@LilMacYT or better than that why don't ask iTalk to make a video on the rangers downfall
The answer will be "Hmmmm" too ????
@@marcuswilliams7512they were in the playoffs in 2022 and 2023 but got swept both times
They had a ton of hype after 2021, a top 5 farm, a newfound willingness to spend + a developing young core with Gurriel, Teo, Bo, Rowdy, Kirk and of course Vlad… In 2021, they were one of the best team’s in the 2nd half and were getting World Series hype going into 2022
The Jays were an unmitigated disaster and still are but I suppose they don’t get the same recognition, partly because they’re in Canada and partly because they haven’t really bottomed out like the White Sox
Feel like it's not exactly falling apart but more so they know they can't extend both Valdez and Tucker, so they decided to trade one of them, then maybe try to extend the other. Although if it does fall apart, feel like it may for a year, maybe 2, and then a bit of retooling
if you look at their lineup right now it's weak asf. yeah it has fallen apart
@marcuswilliams7512 it's only gonna get worst if alex bregman leaves and the prospect aren't ready by 2026
They can't or they won't??
@marcuswilliam7512 our lineup will get stronger with us getting more players you should wait and see.
I still cant belive that the dodgers gave Yordon Alvarez to the Astros for free after all these years
Traded the wrong Alvarez. SMH.
It’s wild to think the Dodgers could’ve had him (and Oneil Cruz) for nothing… It kinda just goes to show how unpredictable these international teenagers are
yeah theyve admitted that was a mistake and they traded the wrong alvarez to them.
But think about this, if we had him where would ohtani hit? We already have Freddie at first and before the trade we didn’t know how good of a hitter he was. Maybe if we kept him ohtani wouldn’t come to the Dodgers cause DH would be taken and I would way rather have Ohtani.
@@masterbaiters1183 yea, just like how the white sox gave the padres tatis jr for free
Even if they lose 1/2 their CURRENT roster, they'll still be competitive to win the AL West. When you have the Angels and As to pound down on, that's just the nature of things
Astros need an ELITE bull pen and they can win playoff games. This team isn’t even close to falling off. They just need to make the right moves. They need a RHP that throws 100+ mph to complement Josh hader. You cant keep putting hader (a lefty) up against right handed hitters.
If this is the end, it’s been a great run. The Stros went to 7 straight LCS’s. Only one other team can say that.
I would like to know what other team can say that because I am wondering about this.
@ Atlanta Braves from 1991-1999, eight times in a row, excluding 1994 because the MLB went on strike and didn’t complete the season.
1 world series tho its world series or bust
@ The Astros won 2 World Series, John, and played in four over the course of those seven seasons, in addition to making seven LCS’s, from 2017-2023. No other team can make that claim during that time span.
@@petepyeatt6909 oh i see what you mean but you count 2017???????
Best case scenario that I see this team moving forward is being just competitive enough to make a wild card spot while retooling for the next two seasons.
Everyone keeps overlooking the pitchers we have who are hurt. You'll all see.
As a nats fan i second this, in the 2019 world series games 3-5 (the games the astros won) they kept pitching some overlooked pitchers out of the pen and won, and will harris was overlooked and ended up being pretty good except for having a bad night game 7
This guy obviously doesn't understand that not all teams are like the yankees willing to overpay for average player ...correa springer and cole haven't live up to the contract they signed and Houston couldn't afford to pay all of them and that includes tucker who is going to get a massive contract next year
Are you sure Tucker isn’t going to be worth the contract?
@TiagoGomez-hb9te im sure he's going to get overpaid unfortunately thats how contracts work nowadays
Are you dumb? He’s not an average player
Cole has absolutely lived up to his contract. The other two have not.
@@SakAttack87well he still has a lot of contract to live up to
I totally agree, as an Astros fan I was ok with letting Cole, Springer and Correa go. And pretty soon Bregman. But if there was one player the Astros should’ve extended, it’s Tucker. But owner Crane doesn’t sign contracts over 6 years. Yeah he’s no Steve Cohen. Ughh it’s frustrating. Astros did sign bad contracts w/ Jose Abreu, Montero, McCullers & Hader. 7 great years with Astros but now they’ll likely slide down hard.
"...likely slide down hard'? Really? That's what everyone was saying about the Astros when Seattle had a 10 game lead on them in the division standings and pretty much everyone were saying the Astros were toast. And then, The Comeback started. And this massive comeback happened while Tucker was on the DL, go figure.
Everyone loves to call us cheaters until it’s time to pick up our players
Tucker wasn’t on that team and all the cheaters have been not as good on their new teams.
....the MLB confirmed the cheating in 2020...you can have great players in a team that cheats.
@@omariparker3769 Yeah right, I'm sure Twins fans hate having Correa on their team
@@aruiz90 My point is that he was better in Houston.
The 2017 team were cheaters, cope.
sometimes you have to have a dynasty - for it to fall!
He should talk about why the Astros failed to make a dynasty
I would say it was a dynasty. 7 straight ALCS appearances 2 championships but definitely could have been more, although can't get greedy winning one ring is hard enough. Tell Mariners fans who've seen nothing
@ dynasty is when a team win more than one title. Giants were the closest to have.
@ 2017 was never stripped so it counts I guess even if tainted🤷♂️
I feel like our dynasty is not over yet though
There are baseball fans that have an orgasm when thinking about the astros dynasty falling apart. I literally remember the astros having one of the worst starts in MLB history and still making the playoffs last year. I remember telling my Coworker that they would still make the playoffs while everyone on youtube laughed and said it was over. If you are making a video like this then im assuming you havent watched sports for too long. When i was in my mid 20,s i too made stupid predictions. I laughed when a weak quarterback named Tom Brady lead the patriots to the super bowl and beat the then St louis Rams. I also was in my mid 20s when i spoke too soon in 2003 and the Marlins won the world series. We all saw when the Nationals lost there best player in Bryce Harper and won the world series the very next year. Ive stopped making predictions. Ive learned some teams just figure it out and every team has a chance. The Astros have been doubted so many times and they just keep adding lube and sticking it higher into those who doubt them. They have won with so many different combination of players. I wouldnt doubt them until Jose Altuve retires.
People hate the Astros because they build their dynasty off stealing information from other teams, stealing scouting info, and the blatant cheating. They built what they had by breaking every rule possible. People hate the Dodgers because they spend money but at least they are out there playing the game.
Bang bang mr rambling
Cheating helps you win, duh.
3 championships is a dynasty, not 2 including a tainted one. The last dynasty was the Giants. From 2010-2014.
Thank you! Literally what I commented lol
Even the Giants didn’t have a dynasty in my opinion since they didn’t make the playoffs in 2011 and 2013. Three consecutive championships is what constitutes a dynasty.
@@omariparker37693 in 5 years IS a Dynasty.
Dodgers fan, Giants were a dynasty team
@@PhilLeotardosGhost It’s the closest we’ve seen since the Yankees, but it’s not. Dynasties need to be consecutive. Just like in history.
I really like this trade, I will miss Tuck but seeing a little refresh with some players who I have a lot of hope we can fix is very refreshing. Glad we didn't pull of the 35 year old pitcher and 4 bottom 50 prospects it felt like we were doing
Yankeees fan here, They are Retooling and will see that 4 years from Now..Astros are still Contenders after this Deal..and they are still Dynasty!💯
Its because the Astros owner doesn't subscribe to handing out 10+ year contracts and that's what Tucker will deserve and require. The Astros have been relevant and postseason regulars for such an extended time I think casual fans don't appreciate. They haven't had to take a step backwards in ten years. And maybe Jim Crane isn't finished working on the roster.
mlb players dont require shit. one 100 mil contract is enough for entire families, thats generational money and nobody deserves what they get paid. they arent saving lives on the field
Casual fans and hard core fans don't appreciate cheaters
@@ghosttownboundAnd the immature fans are still hung up about it despite only 2 guys being left from 2017
@@FloridaJit434 ever heard of the black soxs?
How long ago was that? The reputation will be prevalent for our lifetime at least
@@ghosttownbound No one gives a shit about that anymore lol
To be totally honest, I forgot the Astros existed for these past weeks. 2-3 years ago, I would be talking about them all the time with my fellow baseball fans because they were something to be feared. Now they're just there
Good way of putting it for sure
Well the Astros WERE great 2 years ago, winning 2022 WS in convincing fashion. Then they showed signs of sliding in 2023. And they were horrible in the first half of 2024 before showing a bit of their old self in the second half. Without Tucker and Bregman, two of our most important players, Astros will be mediocre at best.
@@timmyg831 The Astros made their tremendous division comeback during the season with Tucker on the shelf and Bregman under performing at the plate all year long. So with those 2 being non factors I'd say not bad for an "average" team that you claim they are. Having Altuve, Yordan, Diaz, Valdez, Brown, Blanco, an elite closer in Hader, and now we have a real hitting first baseman in Christian Walker and a capable 3rd base replacement in Isaac Paredes so they're far from being "mediocre" team and are a contending WS team whether non Astros fans like it or not!

Watching multiple clips from MLB reminds me how they hire cameramen who don't understand baseball. Every clip is a camera jerking around trying to follow the ball. What other sport zooms in on the ball instead of the showing game? Hahaha
kyle tucker was barely batting his weight all season
Haha he had a .993 ops
Is not a fall is a soft rebuild, we knew we weren't gonna pay tucker 300 million why keep him? Is not rocket science. Ur exaggerating with this video ngl the astros will somehow find another yordan or tucker they always do and turn bad pitchers into studs. Astros will be relevant for a while
We will be back and better than ever! We just need to find new and more creative ways to cheat.
The one thing that gives me hope is that even after losing springer and Correa We still managed to win a world series so maybe it won’t be that bad without Tucker
As a Dodgers fan those Springer highlights were so painful to relive lol
Dynasty yes but they are still a contender and will easily win there division
Astros made the run and took division lead last season while Tucker was injured basically whole 2nd half of the season. Love Tucker ,but it's not like Astros don't have talent.
Good luck
MLB fans: good, let the trashstros rot and we won’t miss them.
MLB: *creating a dodger dynasty*
That depends on Sasaki
@therealjaystone2344 You should move on from the past about Houston and go think about something else.
Minute Maid Park, Daikin Park, nah it's just Enron Field
And everyone cheered
As a Astros fan, it sucks at first but not really all to bad, in the long run, we won the trade, we get a worthwhile player and prospects, while Cubs get only a year with Tucker, this allows us to hopefully have the funds to resign Bregman, and then for next offseason when Tucker is a free agent, hopefully Crane decides to splurge and give Tucker a good contract. That’s just my take; it does suck seeing Tucker leave tho
So, Paredes replaces Bregman. While Paredes holds down at third, Sam Smith develops and comes up within three years, perhaps. Meanwhile, the Astros will have one less outstanding hitter from the left side. If Paredes can frequently bounce line drives off the left field wall and walks a lot, then, okay.
On the other hand, the Astros may have a rough first half again, but struggle more, without Kyle's bat, and not make the playoffs. Sorry, just thinking this through. Go Mariners!
I cant belive to think how fast the fall came. Last yer one win away from the world series, the year before qinning the world series, the year before in the world series, now = Cubs just there
At least instead of sitting there and waiting for their FA’s to walk bc another team is willing to pay to end the Astros dynasty and taking their players for massive contracts.
I like this move. If they won’t pay Tuck 400m+ get something back for now, a player who is a roll of the die, and a top prospect is a deal. Add in Walker, and the infield got way better. Make a small move now and figure it out next year or at the trade deadline.
They were on a path to a slow death even if we got Bregman back. Now they are at least doing something new and mixing it up. Replacing 1b and 3b makes up for the loss in production Tucker made.
Hopefully the Rangers can contend with the Astros this year. Last year was rough
They're still going to win the AL West.
Cam Smith is a great player - good haul
This video is stupid. Nice work.
The Soto contract has shoved Scott Boras clients out of Houston's payroll limitations.
Jim Crane doesnt want to go over 5-6yrs in length. Tucker was rumored to want a 10yr deal of $300+ million.
Bregman likely signs elsewhere too.
Weird direction after signing Hader last offseason
They’ll still be good but it’s the end of the dominating of the Al west. They won’t be a force just a decent 85-93 win team imo
I would think this also signals that Bregman is not going to return
Rangers fan here, I wont call the Astros dead intill I see them miss the playoffs. I hope the Rangers can take the divison in 2025, but other than that 2023 ALCS, THE ASTROS ARE OUR DADS.
I used to pray for times like this.
I don't think this is going to happen right now, but I would love to see the Astros sitting in the basement for the foreseeable future.
Yo italk I don’t think the Astros dynasty is over yet we need to wait for next year to see
Tucker was bound to leave after the next season anyway, We wouldn’t of gained anything if we didn’t trade him. I highly doubt they make an effort to get him to stay anyway.
Kyle Tucker for 3 40 gallon Rubbermaid trash cans and a hello kitty walkie talkie set. Were back baby!
Have fun with Tucker in the NL Central! Sincerely, a Mariners fan.
Nah we should be fine
Nah they'll win the AL West again
You really believe so?
Rangers fan here, I will not call an Astros downfall intill I see them not make the playoffs. If I say a word about them, they will somehow get 105 wins out of nowhere and beat us 10-3 or 11-2 in the regular season, because other than that 2023 ALCS, The Astros are our DADS.
@@iTalkStudiosyea the Astros are inevitable they always somehow keep finding studs and they're pitching is still top tier with javier and Garcia coming back. Soft rebuild nothing to worry about
@@joshuastar77 I wouldn't be too discouraged; Houston only won the series 7-6 last year. If our lineup bounces back and the bullpen gets shored up, the division should at least be close (although I'm still picking Astros for now).

Jeremy Pena has been fantastic buddy
Dude stop the whining man houston just got something from a possible loss anyway because somebody gonna wag a lot of cash at Tucker and he was going to do the Springer thing.....simple as that i think the Astros did what they felt was beneficial to them
I'll consider the Astros dynasty over when the Yankees decide to be intelligent enough to beat them in a postseason series and go on to win a World Series for once in their lives
The Trashstros crumbling warms my heart.
Well, looks like Crane is tightening the purse strings again, while trying to stay under the luxury tax penalty, the Astros keep developing stars (Springer, Correa, Cole, Tucker, Bregman...) and then allowing them to walk at the peak of their careers, while opening up the check book at the right time would have merely helped to maintain what was once considered a potential "Astros Dynasty"...
Tucker is a 5 tool player (very rare in MLB) that will get paid by some team that doesn't shy away from spending, if not the Cubs in 2026.... the dreaded Yankees?.... one of the Astros most hated nemesis! Time to rebuild around an aging Altuve and a perennial all star in Alvarez!
Astros need to fire Dana Brown
And the Mariners ownership still won’t go all in on winning
Talk about how he played in the playoffs the past two years
Hablemos de cómo jugó el equipo, veamos, veamos, oh, como una mierda, como una mierda.
Their dynasty ended when they stopped banging the trash cans even though they were allowed to do it
Nobody is mad that the Trashstros are done for
They will still win the division with the trash rangers and mariners
this isn't a great take I mean you gotta plan for the future and face reality. Its unrealistic to expect a team to continue dominating like the Astros have. 4 World Series in 7 years is crazy 7 straight playoff runs 4 out of seven leading to an alcs championship. Not to mention 2 titles.
One sided rivalry with the Yankees? We have 25 more rings and a better team with superior players and a better stadium. Astros are the dollar general of baseball
Diehard Yankees fan here.
Denying that the Astros have owned us when it matters most is absolutely delusional. The Yanks have lost every playoff series against them (0-4) going back to the 2015 Wildcard game.

They won 3 chips in a row? Dont remember that
Let Kyle Tucker disappear in the playoffs for another team. Seriously…just look at his numbers from 2023 and 2024. I just hope the Astros can make the playoffs next year though

You're not a dynasty if you cheated your way to a world series and with all that, still only won one time with the handicap.
Trading Kyle Tucker feels like the Astros are waving the white flag on their dynasty. Tucker is a cornerstone player, and while the return looks decent, it’s hard to see Houston maintaining dominance without him. Losing stars like Correa and now Tucker makes you wonder what’s the plan here? 😕
