No one gets to exiticed if one of your stars or high production guys is batting poorly in the first month of the season. Should we really get excited in a minor leaguer has a good month in the minors Major league pitchers are great at making adjustments and studying hitters. The pitchers in Iowa didn't even have a chance to adjust. I would prefer not to hand the full time 3rd bagger job to someone with just over a month of triple A Iowa. While I would prefer the old school way of players getting at least half a season at each level. I know that isn't the way it works now. Which is also why I think current players are not as good. They don't learn the game and relay on talent and physical abilities too much. There shouldn't be as much learnings in the majors leagues I would like to see Shaw spend another couple months at Iowa before calling him up. If he is in the he has to play almost every day. And I am not sure I am comfortable with going a whole season with the rollercoaster of another rookie in the every day lineup again this season.

In the majors we would call that a small sample size. No one gets to exiticed if one of your stars or high production guys is batting poorly in the first month of the season. Should we really get excited in a minor leaguer has a good month in the minors
Major league pitchers are great at making adjustments and studying hitters. The pitchers in Iowa didn't even have a chance to adjust.
I would prefer not to hand the full time 3rd bagger job to someone with just over a month of triple A Iowa.
While I would prefer the old school way of players getting at least half a season at each level. I know that isn't the way it works now. Which is also why I think current players are not as good. They don't learn the game and relay on talent and physical abilities too much. There shouldn't be as much learnings in the majors leagues
I would like to see Shaw spend another couple months at Iowa before calling him up. If he is in the he has to play almost every day. And I am not sure I am comfortable with going a whole season with the rollercoaster of another rookie in the every day lineup again this season.

I'd take Tucker over Soto. He's rare 5 tool player whereas Soto gonna be slow expensive DH in 5 years. Soto best hitter in game and super clutch in postseason but Tucker can do so much more than just being a bat.
