Nice! Subscribed. By the way, your underwater shot/footage is so clear, do you mind telling me which Aqavue model underwater camera you were using in this video? Thank you.
DUDE! solid video! The vibrato is for sure a staple on Simcoe. I did have one issue with it when I fished it - I use light 8lb line and if I fish it without a snap swivel, I break off pretty easy. Keep these vids coming man!
I'll do my best! I am not going to lie, i lost two lures setting the hook which i didn't include. both lures were at the bottom of the lake, visible on camera, taunting me for the rest of the day. They aren't cheap!
That was really enjoyable to watch. Loved the underwater footage and especially loved the landing technique using the scooper. That was brilliant. Really enjoyed watching, that was awesome.
Thanks Adrian! It truly is a great technique for getting the fish safely out of the hole. Thx for stopping by and look fwd to hitting the ice with you in a few days!
Awesome, love that underwater footage when they take the bait and you set the hook, gets the blood pumping! Hard to beat smoked whitefish. Cheers Andrew 🍻
Thanks, the underwater video is such a different experience. I don’t always use it, sometimes I just use a flasher. But totally enjoy fishing with an underwater camera.
Maaan, awesome underwater footage Andrew! Vibratos are amazing, basically all I use during ice season, and they work pretty awesome in the summer too. Just long bomb casts, let it hit bottom, and start ripping them back home. Quality video, cheers! Oh, and congrats on 1000+ sub's 👍
Never caught a whitefish before but understand we do have them in some of our lakes here in NH . Last weekend I did some smelt fishing using an underwater camera, it was pretty cool . Another great video Andrew , love the music on this one. Nice net job with the ice scoop.
Another great vid... do u think u can do a vid on ur ice fishing gear? From the shelter u use, to the heater, cams and electronics etc... would help out ice fishing newbies like me
I was literally like "that scoop would probably work well to get those whites out of the hole" and next thing you know you reach for the scoop! Haha, so good. Great stuff man, I wish I could end my fishing days early cause I catch enough fish to make me happy lol. Well done!
Awesome vid man. Wild to see so many white fish in one area! Glad to see the vibrato work, looks more interesting to use than the meegs or soft plastics
That’s awesome! I haven’t been to Simcoe this winter but hopefully there’s enough ice to still fish. Also, can you find whitefish anywhere around 20-30 feet of water, or are there certain spots you have to fish?
@@truenorthangler yeah there’s this secret pond inside bass pro too and it has tons of huge bass. Keep getting kicked out though because apparently it’s a “fish tank”
I'll be honest I am no expert - but I do know they can be found in 30-70 feet of water. Probably deeper also, even though I haven't fished for them that deep.
Andrew, another great video! Can I ask how you place your camera to get such great underwater views?! Is the camera just suspended in mid water or on the bottom? How come the fish are not spooked by it?
Oh man, this is a very hard question to answer. I am kind of obsessed with getting good camera angles. There is no secret, just trial and error. Different distances, different angles. Does it scare fish? Maybe some, but I have never really seemed to notice. I find myself less focused on catching fish, and more focused on catching that perfect shot!
@@ActuallyAndrewFishing so the camera is suspended in mid water? i have an underwater camera too, but i need a tripod to try to dangle it so it has the perfect view.. most of my current angles are on the bottom and its so hard to pan to the right angle
@@ActuallyAndrewFishing ah thats crazy close to your fishing hole too.. i am just surprised the fish didnt noticed. My attempts have been mixed, some days the fish are extremely camera shy, rarely they come close to the camera
Great video again, I was debating on getting a Underwater camera but was worried about the fish getting tangled with it. How often would you say that happens. Email me if you want to exchange so.e info or arrange some trips..Great job 👏
I think most people are unsuccessful with Whitefish on Simcoe is because they over complicate it. Poor setups, and I've seen anglers jig way too aggressively.
Hey buddy. Thanks, I don't know the name of it to be honest. Its the gold one and the silver ones that I use. Pick yourself up the 14g and the 10g ones. I switch between those two. I believe I was using the 14g in this video.

Aquaview footage for the win! Always a nice touch. Another solid outing for yea, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for checking it and many of my other vids. Love the underwater shots, although its a pain to set up at times, totally worth it.
I always love your videos!
Thank you so much!

AquaVu footage is fantastic. Thanks for the vid.

as you landed the third i was thinking is it stalked or natural. lol
All natural!
Good edit thanks for sharing 👍
Hey Aaron? Are you gettin’em?
Slacking

I was hoping to see some more steelhead from you and the snoopy reel guy.
Thanks for checking it out!
Common anglers couldnt have such completed equipments, etc
You are right, I definitely like the toys. You will definitely need a flasher or camera to target certain species through the ice.
Great the underwater footage
Thanks Peter, those Aqua-Vu cameras are great.
I see you spiked your tent down this time.
Hahaha - aww... yeah. I learn quick!
This was wicked. Love the underwater shots! Nice work andrew👌🏻
Thanks Matthew! Wish I had some sour gummy worms with me but no dice.

well done , thats a real nice set up you have and the underwater video awesome , wish we had whitefish here - hard to beat smoked whitefish
You're right about that, whitefish is some good eating! But your walleyes from yesterday looked good too!
Very hard to beat a vibrato!
Agreed!
Agreed 2X

Thanks Luke! Hows it going out there? You getting your carp gear out soon?
I like your scoop technique. Going to use that next time instead of trying to grab the lure.

awesome video along with the underwater footage, what size vibrato do you use?
depends on water depth 10, 14, 21 gram

It's a lot of fun to use. They come in HOT and crush it!
Dude I have to send you some Fox Fishing Simcoe Goby!! You would have caught like 10 of those fish!. Pm me your address!.
I tried soft plastics too, they just didn’t have the same reaction I found 🤷🏻♂️
@@ActuallyAndrewFishing dude not any soft plastic. The Fox Fishing Goby. Our plastic. Dude we smashed over 200 whitefish on it.

They get caught in the cable maybe 60-70% of the time. Quite frequently to be honest. Its a trade off. You lose alot of fish, but you get cool video.
Where did you buy the reel?

Where are you
How deep and what time of day
better educate and can buy food, or fish in fish growing areas

I completely agree with you. It's easy to over work a bait when you start marking a fish and the heart race increases!
