This is so true, labels are so helpful to make people understand and empathize instead of judge wrongly. No matter how much I talked to my sister and explained myself, I couldn’t get her to really understand my ADHD. But she went and bought a book on ADHD in women and she herself told me how better she was able to understand everything I was telling her. She even admitted that having a professional explain it without my input at all allowed her to be more open to receiving information. She was also surprised at how the book seemed to be describing me to a T. Labels are helpful.
I just had this realization that I had this time in my life where I had neurological attacks and I didn’t know what that was and I was really scared until one day someone said „these are panic attacks“ and I’m not even joking but I didn’t had the attacks since then. I always thought I don’t need labels at all but sometimes it can be really helpful for your own psyche! It helps you accept that part of you and if you have accepted it you don’t need to concentrate on the label anymore. Good video!
I loved hearing this conversation. I feel like one of the reasons we resist labels as a society in general is because of internalized ableism. But it's so great to hear the two of you (and more people in general) talking about this 🧡 we're really so early on in the understanding of neurodivergence, and I'm so excited for the day where the resistance to labels is non existent and mentioning your neurotype or an accommodation you need is just a part of usual conversation 😄
Great video! Thank you for explaining why labels are important. I get it now. I agree with P that it would be great if they would teach this in school. Unfortunately in Germany they don't even teach teachers in teacher training how to interact with or help neurodivergent students. I'm glad that there are many resources online. I don't know how good they actually are tho.

Thank you for making your videos
Sadie, do you take medication and is it easy to find in Italy?
No I’m not on any medications
Sadie, you said at times you 'know something is wrong with me'. I disagree. You have differences or simply some different responses to stimuli. ❤
Aww that’s very sweet thank you!! I guess i have some self hate to work on based off of societal norms still!
Are you guys back togethers?
