Well, I’ve watched every single one of your Arvia videos, I’ve just got to the end! Absolutely brilliant videos, I can’t wait to go onboard now. Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you’ve enjoyed it. Celebrity Beyond is coming! I’ve started editing it this week. Our infinite veranda cabin tour will be out next week and then hopefully the vlogs will follow soon after!
That beautiful Caribbean water! How much extra did you have to pay for the submarine excursion? That’s a big one! Great shots of all the fish and the shipwreck. Love the official pool temp rating.😆
It was lush! The submain was £79 per person and included the coach to the dock. You then got on a boat out to the submarine, where you then transferred in to it and that was around 45 minutes. Well worth ot. It was slight more expensive booking direct.
How cool is that submarine excursion. If you don't mind answering, how much was that excursion? Another great vlog series, loved it even more because of the tropical vibes 😊 Looking forward to your next adventure 😀
Great vlogs. You have so much fun. We’re going in November . And like you will have our stop over in Barbados at the end of the cruise. Did you book the day cabin while on board & if you would mind giving an indication of the price?
Ohh, not that's not an easy one! We loved Anthem, probably one of our best cruises - so much fun. The adults only solarium great food and service, bumper cars, the North Star and lots more. SO good. But Arvia has loads of entertainment going on and that swim up bar is amazing! With Arvia, you feel like you are looking out a lot more due to the design, but on Anthem you look inward on the promenade. P&O offers great value for money too! So it would definitely depend on what you are after and budget, but Anthem is just about beating Arvia ship wise we think :)
@@CruiseMonkeys Cheers for the response! It's a valid point about the 'looking inward' of the promenade too! Currently torn between the value of the Arvia (£1500 less than the Anthem for a 14-day cruise for 4) and the familiarity and fewer passengers of the Anthem. Which had the better quality of dining?
Just found your channel and your hilarious! Me and hubby are about to do our 12th cruise. Our last one was on Rhapsody of the Seas. Fly to and from Barbados. Barbados airport was a complete shit show. Never again! You seemed to have a different experience when arriving in Antigua, you looked very happy! Was it pretty easy?
Welcome to the channel! 😀 cruising is quite addictive isn’t it?! Yeah, Antigua was seamless but coming home from Barbados did take a good hour of queuing to get in to the airport, thankfully being a chartered P&O flight we didn’t need to worry 😀
My family and I are considering booking our first ever cruise for Christmas on Arvia leaving from Barbados! I have been doing a lot of research and stumbled across your Vlogs and have now watched the entire series 😂 We have never been on a cruise because we are very concerned about sea sickness!! would you recommend Arvia as a good first one? Thank you 💙
Oh hope they are useful and fun! Yes, Arvia is a great family friendly cruise, so much going on. Don’t let seasickness put you off, we didn’t feel much movement on our caribbean one. If you are worried book a room low down and in the middle of the ship as this is where you’ll feel less movement.
I've never been on a cruise in my life, but I'm looking at booking a p&o Caribbean cruise for my partners 60th. I don't have a clue what I'm doing though. it says that its full board on the ship, but there seems to be lots a hidden extras. so the limelight club you have to pay for and not included in the price I pay? I'm just worried about the spending money and how much to take. we do like a drink but i don't fancy the drinks package that they offer as it seems really expensive. it does look amazing and it would be a trip of a life time!
HI, oh, cruising is fab and great value for money. Your main dining room food, buffet and the Quays are all included in your fare. Tea and coffee is available in your room and the buffet 24/7. You have a number of shows around the ship such as pop up shows, the sky dome, the club house and theatre all complimentary entertainment too. There are 'speciality' restaurants that do have a charge, but you don't really need to use them, same as the limelight which is a supper club. We try more of them than the average cruiser as we want to give out opinions to our viewers, we know people who spend very little on a cruise. P&O even allow you to bring on alcohol to consume in your cabin. Our 4 lets talk ship videos on Arvia should help! Finally, the main thing we would suggest is speaking to a decent cruise travel agent - they will work out what is best for you and tell you about all the expenses you need to think about and you'll never pay more than booking direct, in most cases you'll save money! We use Martin (facebook.com/MartinsHolidayVillage/) who has lots of experience - or if you live somewhere which has a cruise specific travel agent, pop in to see them. The reason we say a cruise specific one is they will know their cruise ships and brands so will be able to work out which brand and ships fits your needs and budget. Hope that helps!
The tea and coffee is yes, and they refill it each day in your room too. Buffet food is also free but only open set hours, don’t quote but something like 7am -1am with maybe a hour or so closed when changing over from breakfast to lunch etc (but tea and coffee machines are available all the time).
Oh fantastic - that will be cool! It depends, we had to do it as we embarked on Antigua. To be honest it was super fast, turn up on your assigned time / when called and it was straight through. Just 1 person per cabin with all passports.
Yeah, it was worth it - think the price in the video says all inc $70pp, but don't think it was that much for cruise passengers, think we paid that for both of us.
I considered the Atlantis submarine at 3 of the 9 ports with P & O and decided a Catamaran cruise at Barbados swimming with turtles sounds more exciting for us. We’re going in January next year, can’t wait. Guys which is your favourite P & O ship and why?
Oh swimming with turtles sounds great! Have a great time in Jan! Our favourite is Aurora, she’s a special place in our hearts being our first and where we got engaged. Large ship, it’s Arvia, so much choice and the swim up bar is a great addition!
Great vlogs. You have so much fun. We’re going in November . And like you will have our stop over in Barbados at the end of the cruise. Did you book the day cabin while on board & if you wouldn’t mind giving an indication of the price?
Glad you enjoy them! Oh, fab, you'll have a wonderful time! They advertise in the Horizon news paper when they are bookable - around half way through the cruise. They say to be there at a certain time, we turned up 5 minutes early and there was already a queue which took around 40 minutes, so get there slightly earlier! From memory the inside was £45, Outside £55 and a balcony was around £70-£80. You have to be out of your cabin by 9am, the day room is then available from 10am - the room cards are left outside the door, so you can get there a bit earlier and it might be ready. Think it is money well spent :)

Glad you enjoyed the series! Arvia is amazing! We were pretty rough on that final day 🤣

Was soooo good 🤤
... you realize how close you are to South America ? and the hot direct sun.. I envy you both ... Enjoy your sea day back to home port ...
The ☀️ was fab, winter sunshine 🥰
How cool is that submarine excursion. If you don't mind answering, how much was that excursion?
Another great vlog series, loved it even more because of the tropical vibes 😊
Looking forward to your next adventure 😀
Hi, we loved it! It was £79 per person, if we'd booked direct it would have been about 110 USD plus extra for a transfer.
Great vlogs. You have so much fun. We’re going in November . And like you will have our stop over in Barbados at the end of the cruise. Did you book the day cabin while on board & if you would mind giving an indication of the price?
I’ve done harbour lights, but the gap is always good
The gap?
Hi guys! As you've sailed on both, which ship would you choose from the P&O Arvia and Royal Caribbean Anthem?
Ohh, not that's not an easy one! We loved Anthem, probably one of our best cruises - so much fun. The adults only solarium great food and service, bumper cars, the North Star and lots more. SO good. Rasta monkey is loving his life with baby monkey! They love hanging out with Arvi! ❤️

Glad you enjoyed! Afraid not tonight! Next one 👍
We are doing the sub trip but at night instead - why did you have to go to immigration? Would we need to do this too?
