I lived on Luce bayou for years & there's always nice saddleback crappie lots of them, perfect place to fish crappie! I really enjoyed your video. Happy to see you cathing them crappie good eating yes. 🙂
@fishingbythenumbers been dealing with lots of family issues dealing with sick mom and haven't had much time for fishing. I went out last Saturday and fished main lake and picked up a few. Again, great video!
Another nice day on the water! I appreciate the Magic Bait. I’ve been traveling and haven’t had a chance to test them out. Keep the good content coming!
Lol!! Kayaks are the way to go if you don’t wanna pay for storage or gas, and you don’t have to travel far across a body of water to get to fish! Love mine!
Thanks, I appreciate it! You can find the maker on Facebook under Limits Tackle. Just send them a message and tell him that you want the 1.75” stinger tail magic bait and the quantity. I like to pair it with his #4 1/32oz round jig head with a sickle hook. Let me know when you order them!
brother you out did your self to day all those fish would make the fish fry at your home one of these times im comming to huston for two weeks just to fish with you i look at lots of fishing shows but i keep comming back to your show thats be cause you know what you are doing to catching those slabs i can rember years ago when i was station at ft hood tex i used to fish on base in a creek name cow house creek i caught my share of crappies but none as large as yours i love your boat and the rods you are useing crappies do not get as large in pa as houston texs by the way i hear lake houston is a very hard lake to fish ???? you be safe out there and give your family our hello 1st sgt E- 8 us army 24 years retired two years in viet nam 19 67 t0 19 70 bob sims 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
I greatly appreciate the kind words and the support! Always great connecting with vets! Lake Houston is a challenging lake, but it took me some time to learn what these fish like and I think I’ve got a good beat on em! Hard work pays off! Blessing to you sir, and WELCOME HOME!!!!
What’s up Brother hey how do you like that Oldtown vs the Hobie? I’m trying to decide between the Oldtown 136 autopilot vs the Hobie pa 14 360 I will put motors on the Hobie xi13 motor guide and a rear torqueedo!
Yo! So I love the old town with the spot lock capability, and that 136 can handle big waves with no problem. Only issues I have are with the ball joint on the shaft that controls the anti coil with the cords on the trolling motor. It will eventually start to slip, and spot lock doesn’t function as well as intended when the cords twist around the shaft. Also, the speed. Only gets up to about 3.9mph without an additional motor, and adding a Torqeedo requires removal of the rudder. As for the Hobie, you’ll have to pay a little more to add a motor, and it won’t have spot lock if I’m not mistaken. So if your trying to crappie fish in open water, that spot lock is critical. Adding the Torqeedo is easier and you don’t have to remove the rudder on the hobie. Both solid, well built hulls, with pros and cons to both. Price wise, you’ll be better off with the old town in my opinion. You’ll still have to buy batteries for both and drop an extra $1.3k or so on the TM for the hobie, but you likely won’t have the same spot lock problems down the road (although warranty will fix but problem will return - there is a fix you can do on your own too). Hope this helps!
One more thing, the hobie foot pedals are pretty convenient too, and still having those could be a 3rd source of propulsion should your batteries die or motors fail. But ultimately, it all comes down to cost and time for TM install. That old town motor install takes about 5 minutes or less! Good luck man.
It’s my signature jig color that I got from Limits Tackle. You can find them on Facebook, just send a message and tell him you want the magic bait in the 1.75” stinger tail. Pair it with a #4 hook with 1/32oz jig head. You can also get the smaller version called the tad fry which is 1.3” and is what I’ve been killing the crappie on lately. You’ll see that in my next video! Good luck!
Yes Lord Jesus, Texas Limit….Will did it. That money cooler, full o slabs….over 11” no need for a ruler! Yesss Sir, He’s fishing by the numbers. The God I serve neither sleeps or slumber!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾🎣🎣🎣
I’m running the go pro 360 max. It’s a cool camera just a lot of work for editing and the sound quality isn’t great unless your really close to it! Thanks for watching!!!
It’s a GoPro Max 360 that takes 360 degree recordings. The turning and zooming comes from the editing that I have to do once I have all the footage. It’s a lot of work to select the key frames and follow the action but it usually results in some cool videos! Thanks for watching!
