- What's up Folks!?!? Thanks for tuning in to another awesome video filled with Crappie fishing action! On this trip, I headed down to Luce Bayou and chartered into unfamiliar waters where I was able to find several spots that were holding really nice fish! I ended the day with a limit of really nice crappie, and had a blast doing it! I focused on my approach and positioning to increase my chances of have an accurate drop down higher strike probability! Its always great when a plan comes together!

Oh yeah thanks for tuning in! I use a GoPro Max 360 and it takes some work to track the action thru editing but it’s worth it!

@fishingbythenumbers been dealing with lots of family issues dealing with sick mom and haven't had much time for fishing. I went out last Saturday and fished main lake and picked up a few. Again, great video!

Lol!! Kayaks are the way to go if you don’t wanna pay for storage or gas, and you don’t have to travel far across a body of water to get to fish! Love mine!

What’s up Brother hey how do you like that Oldtown vs the Hobie? I’m trying to decide between the Oldtown 136 autopilot vs the Hobie pa 14 360 I will put motors on the Hobie xi13 motor guide and a rear torqueedo!
Yo! So I love the old town with the spot lock capability, and that 136 can handle big waves with no problem. Only issues I have are with the ball joint on the shaft that controls the anti coil with the cords on the trolling motor. It will eventually start to slip, and spot lock doesn’t function as well as intended when the cords twist around the shaft. Also, the speed. Only gets up to about 3.9mph without an additional motor, and adding a Torqeedo requires removal of the rudder. As for the Hobie, you’ll have to pay a little more to add a motor, and it won’t have spot lock if I’m not mistaken. So if your trying to crappie fish in open water, that spot lock is critical. Adding the Torqeedo is easier and you don’t have to remove the rudder on the hobie. Both solid, well built hulls, with pros and cons to both. Price wise, you’ll be better off with the old town in my opinion. You’ll still have to buy batteries for both and drop an extra $1.3k or so on the TM for the hobie, but you likely won’t have the same spot lock problems down the road (although warranty will fix but problem will return - there is a fix you can do on your own too). Hope this helps!
One more thing, the hobie foot pedals are pretty convenient too, and still having those could be a 3rd source of propulsion should your batteries die or motors fail. But ultimately, it all comes down to cost and time for TM install. That old town motor install takes about 5 minutes or less! Good luck man.
Do tell about your recording setup. It auto zooms as if an operator is behind the camera.
It’s a GoPro Max 360 that takes 360 degree recordings. The turning and zooming comes from the editing that I have to do once I have all the footage. It’s a lot of work to select the key frames and follow the action but it usually results in some cool videos! Thanks for watching!

Yes indeed! That was a magnolia which is a hybrid crappie with the black nose. That’s a rare catch and was a slab too!!! Tasted real nice too lol!

I run 10 or 12lb Seagar invisible floro as a leader
What kind of jig are you using
It’s my signature jig color that I got from Limits Tackle. You can find them on Facebook, just send a message and tell him you want the magic bait in the 1.75” stinger tail. Pair it with a #4 hook with 1/32oz jig head. You can also get the smaller version called the tad fry which is 1.3” and is what I’ve been killing the crappie on lately.
