Deion Sanders did play cornerback and wide receiver, but he also played 9 seasons in the MLB. He is the only person to ever play in both a Super Bowl and World Series :)
Deion sanders played for Florida St 1985-1988, drafted by the Atlanta Falcons and played 1989-1993, then went to 49ers for a year in 1994, then for cowboys from 1995-1999, then Washington Redskins for a year in 2000 retried then came back in 2004-2005 to play with the ravens
Deion Sanders played cornerback kick returner and occasionally wideout. He is known for having the fastest 40 yd time in NFL combine history. Furthermore you should watch Bo Jackson highlights
He was probably the best cornerback ever (defense), but one of the things the Cowboys did to lure him over to play for them was that they promised to let him play a receiver on offense as well. He was also a very dangerous kick returner. Whenever he had the ball in his hands, he was a threat to go all the way.
Deion was a hired gun...you bring him in to get over a hump...so he was hired by lots of teams with two immediately winning super bowls upon his arrival. primarily a cornerback & punt returner but played a little wide receiver and free safety as well.
Deion came out of college as a CB & punt return specialist. (Fla State Seminole) Then into his NFL career he started also playing WR in spots . Played some QB in highschool.
"Rocket" Rod Woodson has the most touchdowns from interceptions. He was an allstar at cornerback and later at safety--super fast as both a college player and a high hurdler. Played overlapping with Deion Sanders and though Deion was a bit stronger in coverage, Woodson was better defending the run.
After Bo Jackson, Deion was arguably the best all-around athlete in the world. Both he and Bo Jackson also played Major League Baseball during part of the season. Bo was and all-star in baseball and football and is without doubt the most freakish athlete ever--6'1" 230lbs and had world class speed --timed in the 40-yd dash at an amazing 4.12 seconds. Just as a touchpoint 4.3 is considered outstanding, 4.2 super rare (Deion ran in the 4.2), but under 4.2 is only Bo.

My favorite thing to remind prime time haters is the fact he is the only to do both.
he played WR ,CB, punt return, kick return and when he came back from retirement he played Safety for ravens and was a qb in highschool

Quite possibly the worst way to describe his career.
