yes , the band that made the OST for this game had no idea that their music would be immortalized with this game 4yrs onwards after they composed the music, they were college kids when they made the music and by the time their songs was popular they have already even forgotten that they made music for mgRR 😂

Love how all the bosses teach something. Rey was ninja run, wolf was blocking, mistral is blade mode, monsoon teaches you to use all the gear you have, like using the emp grenades to disable his abiltity to split body parts.
Sundowner teaches you the importance of precise free blade. Sam teaches you that Brazilians can double jump. Armstrong teaches you about nanomachines, son.
Imo. That make their boss design great or goat'd.
The final boss is practically a final exam of all that you should have learned.

If it had a longer dev time, it might also have redeeming features outside of the boss fights, combat, and music.

This just isn't true.
Kojima Productions announced the game in 2009. Then gave it to Platinum Games in the beginning of 2011. The game came out in the beginning of 2013.
Even if you ignore the previous work Kojima Productions did before Platinum taking over it was still 2 years and it's very unlikely that they didn't use anything Kojima Productions made.
So overall the game took at least 4 years to make with platinum working on it for 2 years of those 4.

@BigBoyAdvance okay child learn to read🤣 the controls are meh like side items, except parrying and blade mode. Textures are trash compared to AAA(which is their main selling point 99% of the time). The story is short for a MG game, but understandable with its year development time. The pc port was iffy, especially with higher res.

But if I’m being honest, the game runs amazingly well on Series X. I’m not upset about it at all. Very surprised. No blurriness. 60FPS. However, I should’ve looked into it before I rushed to eBay.

I actually preferred to play this game with controller, M&K for these mechanics felt super counter intuitive.
This is probably in my top5 games.

Hilariously, MGR has one of THE BEST KB/M controls. Every prompt for QTE is there, directional inputs work, Blade mode with mouse is intuitive and easy to use, you can even use mouse in Upgrade menus!
You can easily go through the whole game and even S rank levels on Revengeance difficulty on KB/M (I did) - it is never a detriment to a game just a choice between what you are more used to play with KB/M or Gamepad.
@@Ghostel3591 only part I hated about kbm is precision blade mode. Rotating that was a pain to get both quickly and accurately

Fun Fact: If you manage to S rank Monsoon, he actually begs you to stop.
Real helpful tip, watch for when enemies flash either red or yellow.
Red flash means attack that can be parried, yellow flash can't, you have to evade those.
