you're welcome. this is one of my favorite episodes of season 1 too. this show taps different issues in one's life that delivers these in a wholesome but very touching approach. --best show ever.
thank you so much for uploading this, this was my favourite episode of season 1, after watching this episode I told my mum I loved her, and that I was lucky to have her in my life. we both cried and give each other a hug :D
Candice7 I think You're on to something, because i said the red school doors look alot like saved by the bell doors plus its the same producer or director
WOW. I like how when jenny says "uh guys I need to speak with tiffany alone, Matt, Sly, and Tony, casually say "okay" and still hang around and then jenny asserts herself and says "ALONE" and they all quickly go inside... LOL
I have to admit that Jenny was pretty smart in this episode and tries to advise Tiffany about her mother and how she abandoned her and that Tiffany was holding in 10 years worth of feelings of anger and resentment and that is not healthy.
What a Great and emotional episode! It showed a new side to Tiffani. And Sly ain't as stupid as screech. He wasn't falling for the same joke twice. Screech would've fallen for it immediately
I agree. Even though the last three seasons of this show had some of the best episodes, Matt's presence as the band leader was missed, and his replacement Mark just had no character to him.
You Really Can't Blame Tiff, Jake Was Talking To Every Single Girl In PCH & The Band Including Jenny Until She Left, Sam & Lorena Until He Wanted To Ditch Her To Go Back With Her All Of A Sudden. What A Dog He Turned Out To Be.
NaVell Lee that’s not true Saved By The Bell & Saved by the Bell: The New Class & Saved by the Bell : The College Year & Hang Time & Malibu C A & U S A High & & California Dreams & City Guys I used to watch Saturday Morning T NBC Line up every Saturday Morning in the 90’s
Mike Simpson I was 8 in 1992 when I was saw this series and kept watching until I was 12 in 1996 when it was cancelled but I will agree that Nikki cox was hot back then👻
Kel 😚 yes they are and they all still look great. they did a reunion on jimmy fallon many years ago and four of them brent gore (matt), michael cade ( sly), kelly packard(tiffany) and jennie kwan(sam) did an interview a few years ago as well. They all looked great on that interview as well. please watch these and you will get an idea.
@@pallavisreetambraparni6995You Forgot About William James Jones (Tony), Heidi Noelle Lenhart (Jenny) & Jay Anthony Franke (Jake) Was Present For The Reunion Interview As Well. Only Diana Uribe (Lorena) & Aaron Jackson (Mark) Were Absent. However They (Except Heidi Lenhart & Michael Cade) Are Back Again In Atlantic City Where I'm Going Tomorrow For A Meet & Greet Up Session & They're Performing There Too! How Hype Is That?!
How could a mother abandon her child for years and then come back into her child’s life and expect her child to forgive her and try to win her back by simply giving her a ticket to New York to come and live with her and expect everything to be okay? It kind of doesn’t make sense to me.
Her mother was worried Tiffany would be mad and Tiffany hid it at first which is the mom came up with the New York idea. Probably just have suggested Tiffany spend the summer with her.
I liked the first season of california dreams the best because all of the charaters except for sly really sang. the next best season of california dreams is season 2 when sam and jake joined because even though jenny left, sam could really sing and jake could play the guitar really well. but after matt left in season 3, there was no really good male singer to carry the band, mark never sang, someone else did his singing voice
How can a mother just abandon her child and then show up 10 years later and expect everything to be fine and dandy??? I don't blame tiffany for being angry at her mom and lashing out at her at her sweet sixteen party at sharky's. Tiffany's mom not only abandoned tiffany for 10 years to dance on broadway in new york, but now tiffany's mom wants to take tiffany away from her father and from the most secure and familiar surroundings and settings that tiffany has ever known? Make tiffany leave her father, her school, her friends, her band, and all that is important to her? Just so that tiffany's mom can get what she wants? What tiffany's mom did was SELFISH. She never really cared about what tiffany wants. Just gave her a plane ticket to new york as a birthday present. If tiffany's mom wanted tiffany to come live with her so much, she should have discussed it with tiffany and see how she felt about it before getting the plane ticket. Maybe then, tiffany would have agreed to spend the summer months with her mom.
I like how tony calls sly by his full name, slyvester. You can see that it drives sly nuts and he doesn’t like it at all. He. he. Tony just does it to irk sly.
It's Very Comical To The Dynamic Of The Characters Because Tony Doesn't Like Sylvester's Shenanigans & Foolish Plans, But Respects More Or Less As An Associate Than A Friend.
Also, just because you are a dancer in new york, you can't pick up the phone and call and talk to your daughter??? There is such a thing called the telephone. We are not living in the dark ages. And even though you are a dancer, in New York, I am pretty sure you got some time off. Couldn't you fly out to california to see your daughter during that time? It might be awkward at first, but it's just something that you would have to do. After all, you are her mother.
How could sly change the band’s image? From California Dreams to California Nightmares? He made a stupid decision here. He should have kept them the way they were. He should have let the band be themselves.
yes. that's the one where tony and sly go " goo goo" eyed over pretty looking girls and jenny and tiffany by teaching them a lesson by putting on a red wig and putting on a fake french foreign accent and calling themselves " "monique" the model and foreign exchange student from paris and tony and sly go nuts and compete with each other over who gets to take "monique" out on a date first. tony and sly try to sabotage each other's chances with Monique. and this ends up in a boxing match. i think this is the episode.
lol. sly mentions that hot bands always has some hooks. elvis had his pampadores, slaughter had his tatoos, marquimarque had his underwear hanging out of his pants. all gimmicks. and matt is sensible and says that the band is good and that they don't need gimmicks
I liked california dreams better than saved by the bell. california dreams revolved around a band. saved by the bell revolved around school activities like cheerleading, the football team, the wrestling team, the volleyball team, the swim team, the soccer team, homecoming, school dances, the prom, the drama club, and other school activities. Of the characters, I felt that the california dreams characters seemed more realistic than the characters on saved by the bell. On california dreams, all the characters had real genuine feelings for each other and a real bondage. Probably because they were in a band together and they practiced together everyday after school, they knew each others likes and dislikes ,they performed gigs together, they spend time together at sharky's. On saved by the bell, the characters had some classes together, met and ate at the max together, and probably signed up for some of the same extracurricular activities together, but they all had different personalities. Zack was not a great student, he was always a prankster, and coming up with some kind of idiotic plan to get what he wants, and dragging screech into his plans . screech was his best friend, very naive, studious, and always had a thing for lisa, who never returned his affections. slater was the jock, he and jessie always butted heads, and he and zack were always in competition as to who would take kelly to a dance,. jessie was studious and a perfectionist. She needed to lighten up and relax sometimes. She was very competitive. she was definitely was a type A personality. lisa was the very fashionable one and kelly was the go with the flow sweet sensitive girl. Of all the characters on saved by the bell, i would say that kelly was my most favorite character because she seemed the most genuine of all the characters. She seemed to care about other people's feelings a little bit more than the other characters. And kelly also worked hard. Not only academic wise, but like a typical american girl. She worked at the max to help out her family because her family was having financial difficulties. All lisa cared about was fashion and she treated screech like dirt. All zack cared about was getting what he wanted many times. He was pretty selfish in many episodes( being an only child does that to you sometimes). you don't learn certain skills when you are an only child. Jessie was always too competitive and many times it was the "my way or the high way" attitude just because she was real smart as SGA president. AC slater was always rough and tough and macho because he was a jock. Sometimes girls like to see the sensitive side of guys. And screech was always too naive and innocent all the time. He fell for the same thing twice or even three times. So, i kind of thought that the characters on SBTB except for kelly were a bit not genuine. Whereas on california dreams, the characters that were created were genuine. At least in the first and second seasons of california dreams
I truly do love this Programme, but this Song did NOT suit the Image of the "Rock Band" lmfao. But I do love the Song though, one of the Best they ever Sung lmao.
Sly brings a machine called smoke a tron 2000 to smoke the stage and groupies? Where does he come up with these hair brained ideas? Thank goodness matt has a brain not to fall for it.
thebuckrogers22 what Family Format? They didn't even used it THAT Often during season 1! And SBTB had a lot of it and was well received. Maybe it was just u
I preferred the California Dreams stayed as a family sitcom. The first season was the best and most unique, with cutaway videos. The rest of the season didn't have that. That's why the critics gave the show mixed reviews because then the Dreams were changed to focus more on the teenagers it was like Saved by the Bell all ver again.
Either Way It's A TV Show Demographic To Create The Genre Known As T-NBC After They've Got Rid Of The Cartoons On Their Network. Thank & Blame Both Dick Ebersol & Peter Engel For That Gear Shift.

I think Tiffany's room is Kelly's room from SBTB. Also Tiffany's real name is Kelly and Kelly's real name is Tiffany LOL
I wonder if that's some kind of inside joke by the people in charge of those TV shows like Peter Engel, because I noticed that as well.

Tiffany's mom badmouthing her father was in bad taste. He raised Tiffany alone.
LBF522 yup. That was kind of bad on Tiffany’s mom’s part
favorite California dreams song ever
That song was cool!!! "Love Love Love"

I really like Jenny
I really liked the character of matt. His character was genuine and mature. Something that is rare and you don't see in teenagers often.
I agree. Even though the last three seasons of this show had some of the best episodes, Matt's presence as the band leader was missed, and his replacement Mark just had no character to him.
because it wasn't real. this was a fictional show, not a documentary.
This episode explains Tiffani's trust issues with Jake for the rest of the show...

Even this show used the word, "Bitchin'." I thought Hang Time was the only Peter Engel show to use that word. HAHAHA

i liked those episodes on california dreams too. they showed a sensitive side to sly
She is Pamela Bowen Stanley (ex wife of Paul Stanley from KISS)
Hard to believe that the actors are in their 40s now..

With His Pops.
Except his father ran out on him again.

good vidio o tiffani is pretty o and tef you are nice
The song in this episode is really good! Is it a Dreams original or were they covering a song from another person/group?
I wonder how many takes it took for brent gore to do that jump at 17:52
I hate the California nightmares but I think that mat is sexy and the mom was mean
how can tiffany's mom just show up 10 years later and expect tiffany to take her back?
Hey She Had Patience & Restraint Which Is Rare For Human Beings Or Their Own Daughters/Children/Teenagers.
She was worried about Tiffany being mad.
Like there punk outfits 😅😊❤️
Use to watch this series when I was 8 in 1992 until I was 12 in 1996 on NBC when it was cancelled also watched hang time and city guys to👻
How come Tiffany’s hair was never wet after she finished surfing? 🤣
Maybe She Had A Portable Hair Dryer To Plug It In Everywhere She Goes. 😂

They should've kept the California Nightmares look. The only song they played that was decent.
I loved their punk look.
Song and the outfit does not match. It's like the polar opposite.
Nothing had stopped the California Dreams from performing cool songs. Not even the clothes based on the film Slamdance.
Blame It On Sylvester's Stupid Dimwitted Idea Of Convincing Them To Do It. However It Was Funny & For Both Of The Ladies Alluring To Some Degree.
