    Nice video again Eli !
    Brotip : if you enter the car through the driver side, it primes the fuel pump in the gasoline tank. So when you leave the car sitting through the weekend, open your hood by entering the car through the passenger door so it wont prime the fuel system. Only 1 drip of gasoline when i openend the hpfp system this way!
    Keep up the fun videos!

    I have a question on the install Bro, I am getting a low fuel pressure check engine code on startup. Car pulls great I’m still running the 93 octane file, but I don’t care for the check engine light. Cleared it 10 times it keeps coming back. Any suggestions??

  • @evannarvais
    @evannarvais 5 років тому

    Also the hpfp doesnt give you extra power just because you install it. Its not a power mod it is a supporting mod when calibrated properly.

    So I swapped my pump, and because I am a dumbshit I cranked her right after and it idled rough then shutdown. prime, prime, prime, crank crank crank no start :( cant get her back on. primed 15 times and still no luck

    I also noticed that the autotech instructions, and my disassembly confirmed you don't need to remove the spring clip because the piston slides out with the spring connected. Not busting balls, just hoping someone makes this known because I'm too lazy to make a video.

    Your car is sick man! All these power and exterior mods, are there any interior mods you’ve thought about? First that comes to mind is the trim piece around the gauge cluster, I think it’d look really good in piano black or carbon fiber. Love the vids, keep up the good work!

    I think your picture of the order to reinstall hpfp parts is missing the retaining ring that you hammered out and back in.

  • @evannarvais
    @evannarvais 5 років тому

    Hpfp internals should be everyones first mod. He should have done this a long time ago. Also if you start running a e40 blend i suggest to run a tank of 91 or 93 threw your car every couple weeks to help that hpfp out.

      Is there any benefit to hpfp upgrade if you don't use ethanol? Eg. Dual pulley on 93 pump

    Did you find that the new pump is louder than stock hpfp? I just installed and has noticeably loud clicking at pump and the hard line

    There anyway I could tell if my car have one already? I bought it used several months ago and literally keep finding upgrades. Bought a Eurocode short shifter only to take it apart and find it had a JHM in it already. Was under it today and found a JHM crank pulley. Now I'm wanting to see what else is hiding.. maybe a HPFP?

    Hey there. I'm hoping you or someone here can give me some input.
    I am running a stage 2+ unitronic file on my '14 and under hard acceleration I went into limp mode. According to the codes, it was due to low fuel rail pressure. Is there any way to narrow down if this was a result of the HPFP or in tank pump? It's pretty aggravating and I don't have Vag-Com to be able to log it.

    • @nicholaslulgjuraj863
      @nicholaslulgjuraj863 4 роки тому

      Riley Wilhite people do it, there’s an Audi page for it they do 4 gallons of e85 and the rest 93 and they run a 100 octane map

    After installing this did you retune the car or do you tune it when you switch to e40

    • @IgnitionTube

      you can run the HPFP on the regular 93 tune, no difference. but it is required for E40

    Where do you find E40 locally? Would love to go this route with my B8 S4, but I can’t seem to find much E40 around Lowell area.

    • @Foxtrot2312
      @Foxtrot2312 5 років тому

      I'm not local, but around here guys usually do 1/2 tank of 91 and 1/2 tank of e85.

    • @jbettencourt978
      @jbettencourt978 5 років тому

      Ahh that makes sense also 👍🏽

    • @IgnitionTube
      @IgnitionTube  5 років тому

      Yeah, there’s no E40. It’s 7 gal E85 (depending on ethanol content) with 9 gal 93. Obviously the ethanol content changes the amount of fuel you need to put in. There are ethanol calculators online and I’m planning on installing an ethanol gauge in my car - future video coming on that!

    • @jbettencourt978
      @jbettencourt978 5 років тому

      Oh ok! I was under the impression that you could find it at a pump at E40, for some reason. Look forward to see your car progress! I’ll have to make it out to one of weekly meets soon.
