Devarajaachar Alaghatta, Head of the Biotechnology Indo-American Hybrid Seeds India, shares his key takeaways from the training on Fundamentals of Genomic Predictions and Data-Driven Crop Breeding as well as his overall experience with IRRI Education.
The training was conducted last 5-9 August 2024 at IRRI Headquarters, Philippines, and was aimed integrate knowledge in quantitative genetics, predictive breeding, and innovative breeding methods, including usefulness criteria and optimal contributions in applied crop breeding. It was attended by 20 plant breeders from 9 coutries in Asia and Africa.
