I found the first Rocketeer installments browsing through LA comic book stores in 1989, when I was a storyboard trainee in Burbank. My young mind was, as it is said, blown. Later, I saw the movie; everything was so perfect, like Mr. Stevens had his vision re-enacted with precision never seen before.
