Bro I didn't even know you were filming when we first met 😅 A true documentary film-maker, as well as an absolute PRO guitarist of course 🔥🔥
The fact you were working with Shinoda is impressive enough - to then end up playing the keys instead of the bass you're known most for... was mind-blowing! Inspirational.
Just came here from your page, Charles!
I didn't know it was recording, otherwise I would have kept you in frame from the get go 🥹😂 Was great playing with you my man, next up let's collab with you on the bass 😜
@@PaulDavids would be wonderful to hear the both of you playing off each other
@@PaulDavids Came down to the comments just to say this is something I'd love to hear (and I assume there's a lot of people that think the same). Love both you guys as artists and would love to see that collab!
Did mike tell you that its 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will. 5% pleasure, 50% pain and a 100% reason to remember the name?
The funniest thing is Mike getting the best bassist in the world to play piano 😂
Well done Paul!
best bassist in the world is Justin Gunnar Walter Chancellor from TOOL
you cant have the best in the world period.... too many different types of players
Wow, didn't even notice that Davie405 was in this video
After Davie 504 😁
@@cryptomike1577 lol not even remotely true.
What an honor it must have been for Mike Shinoda to play with Paul Davids 😇
Yeah no
Who wouldn't want a guy with 3 million subscribers to play on their album. Brilliant move on Shinoda's part.
@@ParadNorthProdEXACTLY
Paul Who?
That’s an awesome opportunity, Paul!
The fact that Charles Berthoud was there ON KEYS is like the biggest imaginable compliment to that bass player. You all killed it! So much fun.
I see Charles Berthoud there. He's a monster bass player.
he clearly is a pianist duh
@@russell33313 I hope you are joking.
If not, look him up, he has his own channel with a massive amount of jawdropping bass playing video's.
Can't believe they put Charles Berthoud on keys! The guy is the freaking Joe Satriani of bass guitar!
@@simon_patterson . . . but not as pretty as Ellie Dixon! 🙂
@richardpaxman8519 I think you may have hit the nail on the head there. She has a relatively small UA-cam following (30k) so it's not her followers that he's after. Looks like the reason may be more...er...personal.
The collab we never knew we needed 🔥 amazing content as always!
So lovely to see the whole day documented like this!! An absolute pleasure to meet and play with you 😄✨
What an honor to work with Mike Shinoda! 🔥 Congratulations Dude 🙂
Imagine an album with Paul Davids, Charles Berthoud, El Estepario Siberiano, and Mike Shinoda with Rick Beato producing.
Why Rick Beato though ? Love him, but Mike Shinoda is an absolutely amazing producer
@@MickaelVest True. So was Jimmy Page too though. Producers can work together. Deadmau5 and Kaskade did a track together.
@@MickaelVestIt's never a good idea to be your own lawyer. Likewise for producing. It's best to let an unbiased ear do the mix and production.
I'd totally be down for this. If Rick Beato wasn't available, Glenn Fricker would be my next choice.
@@donbishop6994 GLEEEEEEENNNN!!!
As a music educator who also happens to help run the world's largest Linkin Park fan website, seeing you when Mike's video dropped was an incredibly satisfying combination of my interests, haha. You all did an excellent job.
Mike is one of my heroes of childhood!! Great opportunity Paul!!!
DUDE!! I just saw you on the video! Much love man. I LOVE LP. I have a song dedicated to Chester on my channel here. Also I literally just sold my Chester and Mike signed CD... I had to.. Igor Kim pays well lol
That’s badass. Every You Tube musicians dream to get a call from someone saying “Hey, come play on this.”
I don’t do the You Tube thing but I love watching the videos. As a former professional musician, I remember the joy of playing with others. Now I just play in my room and remember what was.
I live vicariously through this. Thanks, Paul. 🤙🏼
Edit: My music career came to a screeching halt when I decided to join the Army “for a few years” for the experience. Ended up doing 22 years. In that time, Linkin Park accompanied me on those combat deployments to the middle east. That music means a lot to me.
How cool and amazing is this?! To be invited by one of your childhood heroes! Happy to see your hard work pays off, but most of all that your talent is being recognized not only by fans, but especially by professional musicians must be the ultimate compliment. You guys knocked it out of the park with this recording with Mike Shinoda. 👏🏼
thats just so beautiful!!! glad you had a wonderfull time with our hero!!!
Thanks for featuring Mike from Linkin Park today.
A player that truly cuts through the BS and plays the real stuff.
A memorable collab not just for you but for people like me who are huge fans of both of you people.
Mike is such a cool person, like he looks like the kind of guy you could just chat with and it would be nice
Awesome jam. What I love about this video (besides the tune) is the inside look at the creative process. I've not been involved in anything like that, and it's always been rather stress inducing to go to a jam and think I have to be able to just go on the fly. Sure that has it's place, but in the creative process, it's seemingly more thought out. Kind of like the Beatles docuseries "Get Back" that Peter Jackson just did. Seeing how they worked through a song instead of just throwing them all together on the spot. Thank you for sharing!
Wow! What an amazing opportunity for you. LP is my favourite band since early days of their existance in mainstream. I feel i was as excited as you during watching this episode. HUGE congrats! Such an achievement!
So Happy for you Paul, good things happen to good people, your tone was just Fab and your chops, as always, are dope ❤👍
I’m 36, and Paul’s description of LP’s Hybrid Theory, Limp Bizkit’s Significant Other, and Korn’s Follow The Leader is spot-on 🎯
Woooo oldees unite! How about chumbawumba!! Pissing the night away!
You deserve every little bit of it Paul!
I find it amazing how you approach these giants with the reverence they deserve, all the while keeping it so down to earth. It's magical to watch.
Outstanding! What a great experience to be a part of! Thank you for sharing it with us! 👏👏👏
Congrats Paul! Wishing you many more of these experiences!
Wow! I just saw You yesterday on Mike’s video. The castle of glass sound blew my mind off. It is insanely great! Wish you all the best Paul!
Awesome David!! With One of my fav bands and personalities...❤. You'll rocked the song❤
That is just a wonderfully beautiful video, and you guys are all so nice and fun to watch! what an amazing experience for you! Thank you for the video ☺️
Incredible Paul! What an honour! I've grown up listening to Linkin Park and Mike Shinoda- absolute legends. Then discovered yourself a few years ago. Now to see this, it's like two seperate worlds colliding in such a wholesome way. Your tones are lovely. Only up from here!
Amazing video Paul! Thanks for sharing that awesome experience!!
I love your guitar playing and I'm really glad to see you working with Mike!
I hope Mike was the one filming at 8:20
Linkin Park is my all time favorite band and I've been subscribed to you for years now. Love when worlds collide like this. Talent recognizes talent, congrats!
So happy for you Paul. You have been blessed for your hardwork. Keep up the hard work.
Whow Paul, such an amazing live experience, so tasteful.
Thanks for sharing. Happy 2024
Jeeez Paul, you are going places! Love to see it, keep it up!
what a great experience Paul. Congrats!! You are too good
Congratulations! You deserve more recognition. Amazing video.
Awesome job and pov Paul !! congrats 4 u sessionist work
Absolutely awesome Paul! I grew up with LP for much of childhood, and they influenced my musical taste early on. Such a great song in the making here
The fact you even got this opportunity says so much about you, well deserved!
This is amazing. Thanks for sharing ❤
Awesome Paul! Had the honour of recording in Metropolis a while back. Amazing studio!
LP carried me through high school. This video is so exciting to see! Congrats and kudos, man. Mike Shinoda just seems super cool.
Super cool!! Paul LP is awesome and your work on this is perfect!
Imagine hiring the most elite bassist to play keys for you 😅 but i didn't expect him to be this great with it, just hear the keys during the intro♥️♥️♥️
Congrats man! Must've been a great experience, happy for you 💯
I am so gratified to see you do this. While I know you must have lots of these experiences... I only became aware of your work via UA-cam. Now years later, you know? I'd worried... so good, sooo good. And glad to see this. A multi-watch for sure today!
That is Awesome Paul!! Sounded killer too! Gonna have to check it out on Mike's Channel. Thanks for sharing it.
It's really nice of Paul to help up and coming musicians ❤
That was awesome to watch. What a great Collab, and to see Charles on the keys....lol.
Absolutely awesome!
This year I've barely picked up the guitar ravelled in issues
Paul's exercises are one of few, that encourages me. He's a monster teacher. I feel so proud to see this, even though I've only heard of Linkin Park. Most of all it's clear that everyone, puts in the work ❤!
Paul definitely is an example ++++
Very nice! I love Lp, Paul and Mike is very great ❤. Thanks Paul
What a dream come true for so many and you absolutely deserve it!
Man!! I was so happy for you that I almost cried I mean playing for someone who you listened to growing up is just amazing
Pauls vibe is so great… puts a smile on everyone’s face. Takes a certain kind of soul to do that. My top 2 guitar UA-camrs are Paul Davids
That's so great that you did it! Dreams DO come true!
I was also very lucky to play with our Czech (my most favorite) band (of course - not to compare with this) but those are the most precious musical memories I have :)
That.. was amazing :D
And the song sounds incredible!
Congratulations Paul. Well deserved and thank you for filming this journey for us.
Man I'm so excited for you. It would be my dream to do this.
Cool behind the scenes! Mix n mastering is like magic
Congratulations Paul, well deserved! 👏👏👏
This is awesome. Congrats, Paul!
Wow!! Such an inspiration you are. Following you since last 4 years and all of your videos are truly inspiring. Keep up the good work. God bless you even more. Lots of love, Paul.
Regards
Sandesh
Nice one mate! Well done and you're finally getting the recognition you deserve!
Best video of the year so far, just amazing!
Woaah that's an amazing experience! Thanks for bringing us along for the ride!
Great video, and congratulations to you. You are a great person, and I am happy for you.
Really humble of you Paul, playing with a fan, awesome video!
This is the most unexpected but best video I've seen in a while Paul you so deserving of this thank so much for the content with Mike :)
Mad respect bro🎉❤ it's so inspiring ✨️🚀
Wow! What an incredible experience and thanks for sharing! I would love to get that call/text one day too! 😁
This is amazing! I can't believe you got to rock out with Mike. Must have been surreal!
paul, thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us. cool to take us along!
What an amazing experience that must have been for you, Paul. Awesome!
Paul, this is awesome! Wat a cool oppportunity and experience!
You did an amazing job! Well done😊😊
I am just blown away by Mike's vocals now compared to what I remember from before. Not that I thought that he was bad before. I had just only heard him rap and try to emotionally fill in for Chester. R.I.P. HIs vocals sound so good now! Paul, I loved what you added. I can hear your style in there. I hope you get more texts like this! :)
Listen to No Roads Left
Awesome Paul! Thanks for taking us on the ride 🎸🎸
I saw the video from Charles appear yesterday and already knew you were involved. This must have been an amazing experience!
Congrats!!! Very much deserved!
I love you channel but this video is definitely my favourite so far. It’s great to see you playing with other professionals.
I just remembered the first video I saw with you on YT, the one where you quit giving guitar lessons for kids and started the full time journey with this channel. One video with Mike Shinoda seemed like a wet dream back then, but you made it. Unbelievable! Congrats.
sick ! ...unbelievable ! Paul, je bent ongelooflijk ! Cheers from Brussels.
How fun is this! Paul Davids - session guitarist.
Hi Tom, I just scrolled down thru the comments to see if you caught this!
that's a dream come true, shootout to Mike for performing his song with uprising musicians from around the world. how many celebrities does that nowadays? One of the kindest person I've seen. Mike is a legend.
Paul, I love this, and it's great to see you playing with 1 of your childhood heroes ❤️ thank you for just being you , young brother because you have inspired me to reacquaint myself with my guitar after so many years , I have actually started my own channel just today and you have inspired me among others to do so . Thanks for your inspiration 🙏 ❤ maybe 1 day we could play together, and I could tick this off my bucket list 😂 . God bless and keep rocking
So good! This version of castle of glass really gave me goosebumps!
Paul - amazing video; it was inspiring and brought tears to my eyes....
Congrats man!
this is preicsely what i want for my musicianship career, to be known as a serious player at the ready to do exactly what you did here. Thanks for sharing this - love it

Didn't realise you were in my neck of the woods! Thanks for showing us around Metropolis Studios. Chiswick is one of the best locations in London.
