    Hi Jack, Why Cat5 and not Cat6? Great video as always.

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  Рік тому

      U carry cat5 on the van 😂 in a house for speeds in my area I can’t see a benefit of using cat6 to be fair

    Nice one Jack,was that a garage conversion with a another floor added or a new built extension,just wondered as it already had that small consumer unit on the wall,I see you still work in inches,that's a rarity,thought it was just old guys like me that did that 😂

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  Рік тому +2

      Yeah I think there was a garage there before or a room as there was sockets and a light aswell
      Yeah I work in whatever is closest on the tape 😂😂😂😂

    Just curious question has anyone ask that you also provide a N at the switch sockets? As most smart home devices / control panels all use N for connection.

      @JRCElectrical  Рік тому +1

      We normally have a neutral there anyway as 9/10 times we wire to the switches then lights

    Was told recently it’s 450 centre of box after doing 450 to bottom for years. Won’t be that anyway when floors added etc lol. Fqtqyqk building regs

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  Рік тому

      Makes no odds unless it’s a new build anyway they don’t have to be at 450 we just do it anyway 😂

    Wow, never seen at cat6 used for hdmi, how do you go about and this ? And why? Cheaper than buying a long hdmi lead I’m guessing?

    • @JRCElectrical
      @JRCElectrical  11 місяців тому +1

      Loads cheaper man and u can run them a lot further, google cat5 to hdmi converter there only about £30 for a half decent one

      @JRCElectrical  3 місяці тому

      I just wire ring for kitchens where there is higher loading on the circuits and I wire 16 or 20a radials for rest of house
