It's almost 20 years now and i still say Return Of The Joker is one of the best Batman animated movies ever and it's definitely up there with Mask Of The Phantasm in terms of being epic. I found it very strange that The Joker never appeared nor was he ever mentioned in the show at all apart from one episode where we saw an old 'wanted' poster of him that was hanging up in the old GCPD headquarters, so to bring the greatest Batman villain of all time back for a movie to face off with the new Batman in the future was the best move ever as you can do a lot of epic stuff with them that you wouldn't be able to do in the TV show. I was really excited about it and it more than lived up to the hype. The movie was shocking and very dark at times but it told a hell of a story and we got to learn about what happened in the final battle between the original Batman and The Joker as well as what happened to one of the Robins plus we even got to see what happened to Harley Quinn too. If we don't get another season, i would be happy with another Batman Beyond animated movie especially as it's long overdue now, come on DC make it happen.
Might have something to do with the fact that Mark was uncomfortable and disturbed by what the Joker does in this movie and he was reluctant to come back for it.
dude that would be so retarded cause Kevin Conroy couldn't voice Batman nobody would be able to voice the characters in that movie and theyre is no movies before hand to build up batman beyond cause Batman beyond had Batman the animated series and new adventures to build it up
Wish they continued or rebooted Batman Beyond. I still enjoy going back and watching this Futuristic Batman series. It's such a great followup to Batman: The Animated Series.
Nick p I met him at Tulsa Oklahoma City comic con 2017 he let me talk to him and take a picture with him for free it was Great it was short but it was amazing to talk to the Batman I Grew up with in person face to face I told him my favorite episode of the animated series is the Gray ghost
I have to say, getting to know the actor behind Terry McGuinness shattered the bubble of perfection a little bit. Even with that said, Batman Beyond is my favorite iteration of the entire franchise, and to see this continue in any medium would be a dream come true.
Truly one of the best Batman films not just in the DCAU, but also animated Batman films in general!! The plot, the voices (I’m looking at you, Mark Hamill!), everything was written and animated perfectly! RIP Kevin Conroy; you will always be the OG animated Batman/Bruce Wayne to me
But people really only know him from boy meets world. I feel kind of bad for him in a sense. He's done so much voice acting, and no one really knows about it somehow.
Man!! Kevin Conroy even when he's himself talking even on interview views he still sounds exactly like Batman or Bruce Wayne. SO COOL!!!! Thank you, Kevin, for all you've given us. I and we all still miss you
Okay Im begging you DC. In flash-point you have to have a scene with Kevin Conroy as old Bruce and Will Friedle as Terry. It just has to be like a minute long. Terry: "Woh! Is that a Flash?" Flash turns to old Bruce: "Too far Berry. Go back."
Honestly. I love the guitarist in the theme song, but if you wanted someone with blues style, and high energy, Zakk Wylde would have been a perfect choice.
I'm kind of bummed they didn't even mention TMS Entertainment, the Japanese studio that did most of the animation for this movie. They also did Akira and Lupin the Third, which becomes very apparent when you watch Return of the Joker :)
This movie was one of the best animated ones I'd seen growing up. The story was so immersive and dark (for me). I remember how shocked my sis and I were when Joker got electrocuted. (Yes that's the censored one, but it's the one we saw first and still shook us to the core because it was so fucked up.)
I expected it to just be some random spinoff cashing in on Joker's popularity that won't have much impact on the main series lore, so I was absolutely shocked and blown away by how much it revealed and established
Shocked me more as a kid that Joker and Harley drugged and tortured a kid. That's insanely dark and they'd NEVER get away with that today! But It was powerful and perfectly showed how truly evil and demented the Joker truly is.
What I Like About The Movie Is The Details That Answer The Two Questions On What Happened To The Joker In The Original Animated Series And How He Came Back Into The Future World Of Batman Beyond Which I Was Curious About
Bruce:We Tried To Figure Out An Interesting Way Of Bringing Him Back Into The Future World Of Batman Beyond And We Came Up With What I Think Was Pretty Interesting Gimmick On How To Do That It Also Has A Flashback Segment That Explains What Happened To The Joker In The Past It Actually Details Batman’s Final Battle With The Joker Which Is Something I’m Sure The Fans Are Really Curious About
Hey; owner of this page, could you download the content of the bonus disks of the respective Complete animated series of Batman, Superman, Justice League, and Batman Beyond sets?...
Will:Well When We First Meet Terry You Know That He Definitely Comes From A Troubled Past He Was A Kid Who Was In Juvenile Hall And All These Kind Of Things And His Father Gets Killed So He Basically Steals The Batsuit And Goes Out And Starts To Fight Crime
Yeah him and Bruce timm actually worked together on the first season of Teen Titans. Bruce timm helped create the Apprentice part 1 and the Apprentice part 2 when robin was forced to become slades protege.
Glen Mukarami's Teen Titans art is so beautiful Japanese anime-animated like. And, Bruce Timm's DCAU art is so beautiful animated like. I love their art so much.
They say "this one answers all the questions the fans have", but really, the big secret of Batman Beyond is actually revealed in the final episode of Justice League Unlimited's second season, right?
I wish there was some sort of short film or little thing to explain what happened between BTAS and Batman beyond what happened to the bat family what happened to the villains what happened to everybody how things changed what happened to little people like Rupert Thorne what things were carried on how Gotham changed all that kind of stuff and or have a Bruce Timm sketchbook sort of thing of drawing he made of characters in Batman beyond
God...the late 90s and early 00s...the cheesy angles, the terrible filters, and the bad fonts. Good thing the movie isn't dated like the behind the scenes is.
*Terry’s voice is perfect.* I still remember him saying “I AM Batman” and it felt so perfect from the very beginning.

We need a movie about what happened to Harley Quinn after Jokers death
R.I.P. Kevin Conroy
I cannot believe there is not a single part in this with Mark Hamill in it
I guess he wasn't available that sucks
Might have something to do with the fact that Mark was uncomfortable and disturbed by what the Joker does in this movie and he was reluctant to come back for it.
Hey, he's still alive!
I just watched this movie yesterday. I just love Terry McGinnis, I want more lf him!
Me too :3 he's so cool and hot ;p
Sorcerer Vaati64 I think he's badass a Batman, just doesn't give two shits if he goes violent or not
A Batman Beyond video game in the vein of the Arkham series would be sick as fuck
Man I would love for this story to continue. Great characters, great story etc
The comics are great!
Honestly, they should have continued it with at last 3 more seasons. But oh well.
They need to make a Batman Beyond movie with actors. Hopefully good actors and a good director
dude that would be so retarded cause Kevin Conroy couldn't voice Batman nobody would be able to voice the characters in that movie and theyre is no movies before hand to build up batman beyond cause Batman beyond had Batman the animated series and new adventures to build it up
Batflack universe, or Christian Bale/Gotham/Smallville/Supergirl/Flash/Arrow universe?...
thank u man
Keaton as an old batman would be awesome.
My vote is Michael Keaton as older batman
9:12 such a great theme...
Wish they continued or rebooted Batman Beyond. I still enjoy going back and watching this Futuristic Batman series. It's such a great followup to Batman: The Animated Series.
man this brings back memories. I literally feel old watching this, it's been years
i miss Batman Beyond....please start a petition a get this back on television
I'm afraid it's too late for that, the show has been gone for 16 years. It's in the classic era now.
they just started dragon ball super..... who are you the wizard of hollywood?
It continue from the comic books.
@@cassandradiandralucianorma8507 but those comics aren't DCAU canon
1:04 I didn’t know he played Terry, I went to school with his nephew. I met him at his nephews communion
I had a crush on Will in Boy Meets World.
"Feene! Fe-e-e-ene....Feeney!! Ooo that's a good one." Hahaha Terry is my favorite Batman.
Same but not the crush part, but I love him and his relationship with feeney
Mr. Feeney: Mr Matthews? Am I to understand you are a crime fighting vigilante???
@@jj01221 I read that in Mr. Feeney's voice. 🤣😂
Rip Kevin Conroy
Kenny Wayne Sheppard's guitar solos definitely rocks.🎸😎
One of the greatest Batman movies. Love the title theme for this movie. Always felt there was a touch of James Bond to it.
Will Friedle, one of the best things to come out of Connecticut since the hamburger. ;)
Childhood memories.
I met Kevin Conroy at NYCC 2017. IT WAS SO AWESOME!!!
Nick p I met him at Tulsa Oklahoma City comic con 2017 he let me talk to him and take a picture with him for free it was Great it was short but it was amazing to talk to the Batman I Grew up with in person face to face I told him my favorite episode of the animated series is the Gray ghost
Hes an awesome guy
Mark Hammil is the best joker as far as animation goes Return of the Joker is a very good movie
2:07 Forever Always Kevin Conroy 🦇🦇🦇🦇😢😢😢😭😭
I have to say, getting to know the actor behind Terry McGuinness shattered the bubble of perfection a little bit.
Even with that said, Batman Beyond is my favorite iteration of the entire franchise, and to see this continue in any medium would be a dream come true.
what’s wrong with will friedle
Truly one of the best Batman films not just in the DCAU, but also animated Batman films in general!! The plot, the voices (I’m looking at you, Mark Hamill!), everything was written and animated perfectly!
RIP Kevin Conroy; you will always be the OG animated Batman/Bruce Wayne to me
*BASICALLY THIS WAS HIS 1° VOICE OF WILL, & 'TILL TODAY IS HIS MOST ICONIC CHARACTER, & DEFINITELY IS HIS BEST WORK*
Wait what? I love this show, but Will's most iconic character is Eric Mathews from Boy Meets World and Ron Stoppable.
@@jish55 BUMBLEBEE: *"LAUGHS IN CYBERTRONIAN"*

Batman Beyond will always be my favorite animated show. Batman Beyond was one the first animated Batman series I watched during my childhood.
Batman beyond return of the joker was a fun batman film still as today
"The Batman people called me..."
The fuck? LOL!
Mohammed Islam Sooo? It is cool the way he said it.
Breaking bad but bruce and terry would be hilarious/ it's a similar dynamic.

"Terry, what the hell are you talking about"

Also, Wakko's Wish.
If Will Friedle was 25 years younger, he could’ve made an excellent live action Terry/Batman.
This was a great movie and Terry was a great Batman
This movie was one of the best animated ones I'd seen growing up. The story was so immersive and dark (for me). I remember how shocked my sis and I were when Joker got electrocuted. Bruce Wayne - Wayne Static (R.I.P.) - Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Dose the name "Wayne" coexist always with Batman like holy shit! xD
I would have never guessed that Eric from boy meets world is terry from batman beyond
Know matter how scary gotham villians can be from terry's world but wayne is the most powerful of them all with his voice
he is right
i loved it!
i miss the show so much! 😭😩
I’m a huge batman fan. My name is Kenny WAYNE Shepherd
I had no idea the guy from Boy Meets World was Terry
That deep voice talking as the virtual anchor must be Richard Cheese, am I right?
Sage Turmelle yes
