What a awesome video.. I bought a bunch of snake plants a few weeks back and this video helped me and gave me direction.. because I honestly didn't know what to do or how to do it... The first thing is to take them out of the store bought plant containers!!...I never knew to separate them at the roots .. will do this today.. will look for potting soil you used or something close to it.. thank you so much such a good way to start today 👍😊
You don't have to do this. Just enjoy your plants the way you buy them. This vid is demonstrating a variation. A way of watering. Watch vids for beginners. There are many of them.

What kind of soil is that? Because snake plants like to dry out before being watered. I'm really surprised it didn't suffer from root rot. Must be because of what the planting material is. Please share that with us. Thanks

Hello, Tiger tongue tree is not picky about soil, but in my opinion, if planted in loose soil, the roots will grow well and the tree will branch quickly. For this growing method I only add water when the water in the tank is empty.
No no no. Snake plants domt like too much water. Should only have water every 4 weeks or more. You can see that when the plant is removed from the pot. The roots are brown and mushy. Should be white. Nice idea for other plants but not snake plant

My snake plant has roots rot due to too much water in the soil. If I use the wick method it will absorb all the water in a short time.
