Imagine if the Pasadena gardens were still there today? how beautiful they'd be! I knew about the Van Nuys one, but not the Pasadena gardens. Cool video :)
My Grandparents lived on Madeline, west of Orange Grove. I remember my Grandmother telling me they found large pipes from the old Busch Gardens when they were building their house back in the early 1960's. I never realized what she was referring too until I got older and started seeing references to the old gardens. It's always interesting to think there were amazing places all over California that have long been buried or demolished.
I grew up and live here and am a local history here is one of my hobbies. I use this area for exercise a couple of times a month. That was San Rafael Bridge you centered around. I know back 20 to 40 years ago, some of those paths to the south on the knob were dug up or they were repaired or built or a combination there of. I think most of it or all of it was dug up and repaired. I remember work being done on it a couple of decades ago as I recall. There are more pathways bordering Arroyo Blvd between San Rafael Bridge and South Grand in back of peoples houses in their yards on the west side of the street. My mother remembered that it was somewhat abandoned when she was growing up before, during and right after WWII. What is called the Camel's Hump in the middle of that area is actually where the stream meandered and that was tunneled thru and knocked down to allow the Arroyo Seco flood control thru that portion. That bend it one of the more prettier parts of walking down there and it is very quiet and serene. It would be wonderful if they had a trail on the side of the terraces from Grand north. They already do in parts. Thanks for the video!

So sad 😢.... it was so pretty❤
It was also used for the garden party at Twelve oaks in "Gone with the wind " ❤
It’s a shame it was torn down. This should have been a declared a historical property in Pasadena 🌹.
I went to the Busch Gardens in Van Nuys as a child. I adored it.
Beautiful. Hopefully the land will never be over developed.
It already is developed.

Thanks for the video!
I was pleasantly surprised to find that pathway under the San Rafael Bridge. The area has so much interesting history. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Great video and history. Does this have any relation to the Busch Gardens in Florida?
It’s the same company. I’m not sure how similar they were to each other though.
same thought I had!
Is that a Karelian Bear Dog on trail with you?
Greedy real estate people and politicians ruined the greatest park ever. Sorry Mrs Busch smh 🤦♂️
