Appreciated Hans! Yeah the meta reports videos are the cumulation of many weeks of research, testing, production and editing. They are super useful for the CoH community though so I'm happy to do them for each major patch! :)
i feel like balance in COH has always been a struggle. Partially due to the vast difference in the way a 1v1 is played vs. a 4v4. A pretty undertaking. thanks for the video
You are absolutely right, finding I think it's important to balance the game from the point of view of all game modes, 1v1 through to 4v4, but it's not an easy undertaking. In particular with the DAK faction design it offers some different challenges compared to previous CoH game titles. Either way, best thing we can do as a community is raise issues and give Relic time to make changes.
These meta reports are the top COH3 content atm. Really glad you keep making them. I see that in the current Wehr meta there are no indirects (wespe or nebel, not even assault guns). How do you deal with entreched positions, buildings and support weapons in this case? Is it agressive manuevering and hunting with 222 and wirbel?
Thanks! Glad to hear the are helpful. Yes you are correct I use aggressive maneuvering to fight the entrenched positions and support weapons. Moving into the late game I do occasionally get a T1 mortar to force them to move or smoke HMG positions, but for buildings a Marader gets the job done! Against a good USF player the Wespe comes to late and the Nebelwerfer can be easily dodged to be honest. Fallschirmpioneers are to expensive for 1v1 in this current meta game. I'd rather buy two standard Pioneers for the same price. Quantity over quality verse the USF meta is my mantra.
More of this, please. It really helps new players to understand how the game works. In addition, it allows veterans to get better understanding on counters etc. Would be very interesting to see more videos of this kind. Educational material for COH players is essential due to poor onboarding from Single Player. We need more new blood in MP and this shows the ropes(tight hehe) really well. Keep up the good work!
@17:55 Is it really better to not take the cheaper Royal Engineers? That AA gun takes so long to get out that I find it really hard to contest the map without aggressive RE play.
I tend to get it the moment I have a squad with full models, below 50% and there is nothing for it to cap. Otherwise that squad is likely to just walk into the frontline, instantly bleed manpower and be forced to retreat.
@StephennJF I’ve been having a lot of recent success using the USF build you recommended here. I’m new to CoH3 and was losing a lot of games because I wasn’t familiar with CoH3’s builds and macro. But after using your build and analyzing some of your games on your channel, I’ve gone on a 5 game win streak. Currently only 746 but I was at 678 just a few days ago. The early scouts dominate my early game and helps set up a strong mid-game. Cheers!
No team games are not the same. For example, the USF Scout build will not work in a team game environment as the frontline distance a player fights for in 4v4 is narrower, compared to 1v1 being wider. Therefore, the capping advantage is reduced in 4v4 due to the maps being narrower and it's more important to have strong mainline infantry. Similar issues can be experienced with the DAK strategy in 4v4. The British and Wehrmacht strategies described though can be very easily adapted to 4v4, especially with some forward healing.
Yes USF is my most played faction, but since 1.9 I've mainly been playing Axis or British Forces. It's hard to always play Australians when Air & Sea BG Commandos are so fun to use! :D
Nice stuff, well explained and put together. I know you probably spent ages making this and it deserves more attention 👍

Finally, I found someone with up to date videos on the current meta and learn about CoH 3 ... great work, thank you!!
Happy to help! :)

Insightful
On a side note, I've noticed that you don't include fallschirmpioneers in the build order. Is it because of the high manpower cost?
Thanks! Glad to hear the are helpful.

Hell yeah! This is an awesome video. Thanks Stephenn!
Happy to hear it was helpful! :)
Great video as always, been watching all your recent videos and liking them all. Keep it up :).
Appreciate the support! More on the way!
Nice stuff man, thanks! The effort you put into this really shows.
Appreciate that! A fair bit of time goes into making the meta report videos so happy to hear it's helpful :)
The best CoH3 content right now, by far

Thanks! Yeah the plan is to make a meta report for each major patch. I agree breaking down the learning curve for all players can be helpful!
Happy New year to everyone, learning so much from your casts and videos
Happy New Year Nick!
Thanks for the video!! Great content as always
Good to see you still in the fight. Playing some other games atm but still keep an eye on this game from time to time.
Glad to see you still keeping up with the game!
The February patch will be interesting to play test once more heavy tanks get brought into the game.
Very nicely done. Happy new year
Cheers. Happy New Year to you as well!
Always informative
Thanks for your work, very informative video :)
Glad it was helpful!
Love that type of content. Great editing.
Thanks heaps! :)

Great video well done
Great vid dude

Awesome vid!!
Cheers!
Nice one boss
Thanks! :)
wow, a lot of work for a really nice video
Appreciate the recognition. Quite a number of days go into making the ON meta reports series. Glad to hear it's worth it! :)
When should the med tent go down for USF?

Is 4v4 work the same?
no, 2v2 3v3 4v4 are totally different games in comparison to 1v1, this is why thit game cannot be balanced

The maker of this video prefers USA. Thats ok everyone has their preference.
But you dont feel like playing UKF as australian as an australian?
Yes USF is my most played faction, but since 1.9 I've mainly been playing Axis or British Forces. It's hard to always play Australians when Air & Sea BG Commandos are so fun to use! :D
@StephennJF btw theres a 1v1 tournament coming up this january, are you in it? Or will you be casting it? Super fun !
Better idea! Can you co-host the tournament with tightrope. You are both my favorite casters, mr propaganda aside 😄😃😆
I mean I appreciate the video, but this company has ruined this game in this patch. It’s absolute trash for axis players
