Miyagi Sensei - Karate here

I had a life lesson opportunity for my 10 year old son this morning on our little walk and some quick training on the school holidays....
I took some wisdom out of Mr Miyagi's book to address the young fella's little anger problem as we were talking about martial arts.
*points to head "Karate here/ Martial Arts here..."
*points to heart "Karate here/ Martial Arts here..."
*points to tummy "Karate/ Martial Arts NEVER here!"
I explained to my son that anger is stored in the tummy and comes out with the fists and feet if we don't learn to control it and we hurt others if that happens.
Raising 10 year old boys is not easy and sometimes Mr Miyagi is a better teacher than I am.
I am eternally grateful that I grew up with the Karate Kid in the 80's
