I was curious about her and did some research into what happened to her after Sitting Bull's death and she did not have a good life. I was very saddened to read about her. Her relationship with Sitting Bull is such a moving story. They gave each other a wonderful gift however and I hope they met again in the spirit world beyond this earth plain.

Interesting that one never knows when and how they touch another. Two of Caroline Weldon's paintings of Sitting Bull exist. One is in the Historic Arkansas Museum in Little Rock and the other is in the State Museum in Bismark, North Dakota. Two teenage girls from Florida saw this film with their dad and requested that their next vacation be to North Dakota so they could see the painting. I thought that was lovely, especially that they were so young.and obviously so moved by the story they had seen. A testimony to the talents of the creators and actors that brought this story to light and to life. I for one, had no knowledge of Caroline Weldon.
