+Ryan James Yes indeed. She got banged up in May 2019 in a landing incident and will be in the shop for a while. I don't know what paint will come out. bloximages.chicago2.vip.townnews.com/magicvalley.com/content/tncms/assets/v3/editorial/e/1c/e1c75641-f6ec-5c2b-a04f-f307f7e9aac2/5cdb25d9eed5b.image.jpg?resize=1200%2C800
The Grey Corsair looks like a F4U-7 not an AU-1 ( the famous missing F4U-6 😜 in the family ) due to the below nose air intake. AU-1 got a nose shaped in the same way of the F4U-5 but without the 2 lateral air intakes.
We're working out our plans right now, actually. The T-34s are in Manitowoc, the T-28s (and jets) are in Sheboygan. I will likely be in Sheboygan this year instead of Manitowoc. -Ryan
Pascal Chauvet There was several versions of the Corsair and I believe the newer ones had more powerful engines with a longer nose. Corsairs were made up till 1954 I believe.
+Pascal Chauvet Brand-new colors for 2018 as an AU-1. It is based out of Michigan. scontent-atl3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31.0-8/28619665_1999533966726758_284864711987725291_o.jpg?_nc_cat=0&oh=727ad1abbdd3092b736af2aee7751b26&oe=5BD6131C
the Corsairs in the Korean war were painted Glossy Sea Blue, just like the late stages of WW2. this Grey and White scheme reached the fleet later than the end of the Korean war (1955 i believe)

Gotta say the sound of these ole warbirds does more for me than the latest jet fighters!

I like American warplanes!!!!!!
This F4U Corsair looks like it has a longer nose...does anyone know something about it?

Pascal Chauvet Later variant of the Corsair, I believe late war to Korean War corsairs had bigger engines and with bigger engines come bigger noses
Is this a Korean war livery of the Corsair?
It's painted like a Marine Corps variant called the AU-1, I believe

That Osprey though
Never stand in the path of the plane with 5 propellers whatever you do!
Need an F-16 to round it out
