Full performance set - Jake Blount trio live from Marsden Americana & Bluegrass Day

Welcome to part 4 of our livestream from Marsden Americana & Bluegrass Day in West Yorkshire, UK! We have a fabulous line-up of exceptional roots music artists performing at our one-day festival on Saturday 22nd June, and this final session features the Jake Blount trio (USA).
Jake Blount is a rising star of American roots music, a talented banjoist, fiddler and singer. Jake was nominated for Artist of the Year at the 2023 International Folk Music Awards, and has been showcased on NPR’s Tiny Desk concert series and BBC Radio Two’s Folk Show. Jake is an authority on the early folk music of Black Americans, and has toured widely across the USA and Europe. His 2022 album The New Faith features inspired new arrangements of traditional songs including Black spirituals and Blues, and has received glowing reviews from Rolling Stone, The Guardian and many more. Jake will perform with his trio, featuring Nelson Williams on double bass and multi-instrumentalist Gus Tritsch on guitar, fiddle and banjo uke.
