You can't get a better Rumours experience than that pressing. I've owned it on every format including SACD. Great video. As the owner of both of the pressings I can agree with this 100%!
Thanks for the backup. To me, this is one of things where if you've heard it for yourself, then you know. And if you haven't heard it, you'll believe the hype once you do.
Bernie/Pallas you just can't go wrong.im more of a Peter Green era Mac fan, but you can't deny these great albums..im glad you got a pair before they hit the stratosphere in price.they look amazing.thanks for including how much you paid, it helps the rest of us to test the waters
I think Kevin Gray & Steve Hoffman mastered Rumours while Chris Bellman mastered the S/T album. I have the 33 of Rumours that was remastered by Gray/Hoffman & it sounds great. Can’t imagine what it sounds like at 45. My OG copy of the S/T album is one of the best sounding albums in my collection. It really bursts out of the speakers. It was mastered at Kendun. They have yet to repress the S/T 45 remaster yet so here’s to hoping they do it soon. -Russ
It's kind of unbelievable how amazing these really sound. They way you described it is great, the really do burst out of the speakers. I'd love to see the S/T be reissued too.
The Kendun S/T that I wore out on my really bad teenage turntable still sounds way better (with all the scratches and ticks) than any reissue I heard. Still looking for that 45RPM version pressed at Pallas you have there. The only one that potentially could top it.
This is an album that you should sit down and listen to, so I don't mind 45rpm to get the best experience. Noticed it on multiple websites as back orders so soon or later should get a repressing.
Im a huge Mac fan and kick myself for not picking them up when they came out. I keep looking for them but Im trying to finish the FWM Alternate RSD albums first.
Two things: "Crystal" is one of the best tracks on the self-titled album. Stevie wrote it, they did it on Buckingham Nicks (Lindsey sang it there, too). But Stevie did her own version of it for the Practical Magic soundtrack which (for ME) is the definitive version of that song. As far as Rumours goes... It would be a perfect album if they got rid of "Oh Daddy" and replaced it with "Silver Springs." This is a hill upon which I will die.
Could not agree more regarding Silver Springs in place of Oh Daddy. That's not even a shot at Christine, really. Silver Springs is just a far superior song in every way.
Two of the greatest albums of the 70's in my opinion and was a total contrast to what Fleetwood Mac was in their previous incarnation and became an even bigger entity. To anyone unaware of the story inbetween the demise of the Peter Green era and Nicks/Buckingham coming on board, I highly recommend watching this - ua-cam.com/video/mjn7ELNVJB0/v-deo.html
They're both stellar albums for sure and yeah, completely different from the Green era. I know a little about Peter, but I will check out that video for more info, thanks!
I would have gotten the 45 RPM ones, but the thought of changing records/sides ever 2-3 songs seemed a bit much. I just order the Pressed At Pallas version.
I did get the super deluxe Self Titled 1975 (3 CDs, 1 DVD, and Vinyl LP- the Vinyl sounds fantastic.Monday Morning is my favorite FM song of all their songs. @@InfectiousGroovePodcast

Your channel came across my feed. I enjoyed your review of the Rumors 45rpm. I subbed your channel. Well done.
Right on, thanks for watching and subscribing! There's a ton of videos on the channel, so hopefully there's more you like :)
I have the Gray/Hoffman Rumours 45 and hoping for a repress of the S/T. Cheers, Tim
I'd love for the S/T to be repressed too. When I do videos on these rare records, I'm always hoping for a repress do prices come down.
One of my favorite bands.
All eras of the band are really great
I haven't heard these but being the Audio SQ Snob I am I'm sure I would love them..
They're really quite something. I'm going to find hi rez audio versions soon to see how they compare

Right on. I always include pricing when I remember, for the reason you mentioned :)

@gerald9442 it really is something else. I was just talking to a friend about it earlier today. One of the best sounding LPs I've ever heard.

I think it'll definitely be back in stock. And yeah, I agree that this is one where 45rpm works just fine
Im a huge Mac fan and kick myself for not picking them up when they came out. I keep looking for them but Im trying to finish the FWM Alternate RSD albums first.
This particular pressing of Rumours comes back in print every so often. I really hope they reissue the S/T album soon though.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast I hope so too. My local store has a Pallas 45rpm repress of Rumours. I should go pick it up tomorrow.
I promise it's absolutely worth owning.
@@InfectiousGroovePodcast I have no doubt. No need to twist my arm to buy FWM records.

Acoustic sounds have a repress available now
That is GREAT news! I hope a lot of people can get in on it.

I hear ya. I don't mind flipping sides often, but I totally get how that's an issue for others.
