      Successful people are extremely hard working and have insane work ethics. I don't think they spend a single moment doing nothing that is not productive.

      Trust me he has one hell of a staff of chefs in his restaurants that manage them. He literally can walk into one of them and knows they are maintaining HIS image and quality standards and the Chef he has in charge can and WILL FIRE anyone that does not maintain that quality in an instant. Same thing with his shows they are done in a short time frame for each season.

      @@62202ify You need to watch Jacques Pepin, he's the real deal. I'd say watch Marco Pierre White too but even though he trained Gordon he seems to have whored himself out completely to Knorr so you'll never learn anything about seasoning except the basics and how to add a Knorr seasoning packet.

    He already have many successful restaurants around the globe. He's very wealthy at this point and doesn't need to do this youtube thing, yet here he is, still making content in this platform. Gets to show how he love his work, and this is probably how he intend on appreciating all of his fans, in one way or another. I don't receive any ads when watching this video, that means he's not even making money from youtube (except if it's sponsored I guess). Even if it does, youtube isn't really giving enough money to youtubers anyway. Well the point is, not only he's passionate to his work, but he's actually a humble person despite how we previously view him in the past to date.

    As a Greek guy, I'm forced to grow most of the rarest ingredients myself. I don't have galangal, there's no way to find it in Athens. Perhaps somewhere, some tiny Asian shop sells it but they aren't many or well stocked. But then again, I may be the only guy in Europe with a small forest of curry trees :)
    I'm also forced to grow my own ginger, so I can marinate it at the proper time. Store-bought cans are not as good, not always available and pricey.
    At least sea food is abundant and I hunt/catch it myself.

    Never eaten bream,meat looks like when you bake tuna.Made those sesame seed rolled ,sweet red bean paste stuffed Chinese doughnuts all from scratch once.It was worth the trouble.Had to use the little red beans for Red Beans and rice,no bean paste to buy.I don't get the rage over salted caramel, doesn't do much for me.Love me some old fashioned caramel popcorn though.I actually would prefer the notorious pumpkin spice to salted caramel.lol ."Throw another shrimp on the ...Tostada?".OK.

    The one thing Gordon gets wrong is that the capsaisin (the chemical that caused the burning sensation) content in chilli seeds is nearly zero. So removing the seeds does not detract from its overall spiciness. Just thought I should mention it😅

      @jayharv285 Рік тому
