    Crank your bow way down you will not believe how much it will help with target panic.I hurt my shoulder and went from 70 pounds ,and kept turning my bow down little buy little. I was down to 45 pounds I bought new limbs 40 to 50 pound limbs ,and helped a lot ,I developed target
    Panic from a bad shoulder. Believe it or not the last 8 deer I shot were heart shots at 45 pounds . Now I’m at 50 pounds and very accurate. Point is if you have target panic bad shoulder or not crank your bow down and shoot it you won’t believe how it will help you with target panic. And it depends on how aggressive your bow is I’m shooting a z7 xtreme single cam so it’s very smooth. The aiming drill that Levi mentioned is one of the best to help with target panic.

    Missed a doe yesterday. She was out at 42 yards and my 40 and 50 pins are both green, so I used my 50 pin instead of my 40 and shot over her back.

      Put your 40 yd. pin on the top of her back and it would drop in lower..

    I feel stupid asking this, but is this the same thing as the 100% Wild PodCast that I'm subscribed to on stitcher or is this a different "show"? If it's the same, what is the show number?

      Yes, this one is "Drury Outdoors 100% wild podcast", We used to do this podcast in partnership with Mark Kenyon of Wired To Hunt and, long story short, he hosted the podcast and we had to take over technical responsibilities after we split. No hard feelings, he latched onto an awesome opportunity that he couldn't pass on and we are still supper supportive of him. so both versions are still available for download. this cast is most recent episode with the same name (overcoming target panic) posted oct 24 2018 on the podcast feed.

    Had a 190 in front of me last year but the shot was not there so I didn't even draw sucked but I'd rather not wound anything

      shoot does...lol...evry human on the planet gets nervous on big bucks...the more bucks you shoot you more you put yourself in that situation the better you handle that kind of pressure..there is no bow or release or anything to fix that..you just gotta dig deep focus on where you want your arrow to go and pic a spot...do not stare at the antlers at all once your mind is made up your gonna shoot..

      one thing I do is focus one a little tuft of hair on the deers vitals or a bur or something and don’t look away unless you have to of that spot and than when the widow comes you will aim pretty close to that spot and than just touch it off.

    I think Levi shooting 100 arrows a day might be on the low side .

  • @potshot23
    @potshot23 5 років тому

    You can't hold your pin perfectly still, keep aiming and squeezing, and when the shot breaks, your arrow will hit really close to your aiming point..

    You need people to say those things to young guys though to keep the fire for the next generation like you won’t beat my record and then one does like Michael Jordan’s and Kobe Bryant

      You might have done it with the wrong mindset... I am bowhunting since 5 years and I do target archery for almost 20 years and it works... I struggled with tp almost every year, you just gotta find out what part of your shot routine causes the panic and then fix this part...
