I agree 110% It is possible to beat him without blood armors and 1 hit kill options on earth, galaxy and universe mode. You’ll need a lot of patience I did it three times. Tear gas is amazing in this fight. It is also possible to beat him no deaths no damage.
The first time I completed the game, I accidentally removed his limiter. I had to grind, grind, grind, do all the bonus content and try 20 times to beat the game. I did it, but what a ridiculous amount of preparation I had to do. Replayed it many times afterward and kept the limiter on. Nothing in the game is challenging after beating ol' Gabe without his limiter, not even Universe mode.
Never has a final boss given me so much trouble as the final boss of SO2 did when I finished Star Ocean 2 on the PS1 almost twenty years ago. Two weeks it took me to finally beat that smug, annoying, cheap ass one hit kill git. Bringing him down with all of my Scottish woman anger on his ass was well satisfying. Part of me still wants to be able to say to his face: "Who's laughing now, huh? DIE YA BASTARD! DIE!" Revenge was seriously mine.

lol maybe the code was increase hp to ludicrous amounts because the damage he deals especially without the limiter are pretty nuts, i mean did you know that Time of Truth is light based, you wouldn't notice because even at half damage it can kill lv255s easily.

Me too, but still have you ever played a video game that was that hardcore with the difficulty, honestly for me I've played Japanese only games and I can't find a boss even close to the horrors of this bastard.
Indalecio or Gabriel is hard if his limiter is off.best bet is to max out at least 4 or more characters to lv255 and have strong gears to survive.go to cave of trials to get rare items to help you in battle against gabriel's true power.i manage to beat him on psp.

+Jarock316 His Earthquake seems to deal 9999 health and nothing reduces that damage. I wouldn't doubt it if he bypasses infinite health codes with it.

on universe mode Gabriel hit points is 3.000.000 and Iseria Queen hp is 6.600.000.they are both difficult and only 2 Superbosses in the game.
