Chronicle missed a year of LAN due to GMB issues as an org, so it's not his fault due to being excluded by being Russian/on Russian org. Let's take your approach, Demon1 missed like almost 3 years of LAN competitions, Chronicle missed 1. Do you measure athlete's success by one year or his/her career as a whole and how many trophies? Derke is definitely up there and as you've said top 5, don't get me wrong I definitely agree that Derke is up there on top, but number of trophies is the biggest sign of success in all sports, facts don't care about feelings and personal preferences.

I don't think he is the best player in Valorant yet. Yes, he had the best rating at Champions, but that doesn't automatically make him the best player. There are other duelists who have had higher ratings this year, and players like Alfajer also have a higher K/D than him. It's important to consider a player's entire body of work, not just their performance in one event. I don't want to hate on him because he is a really good player, but it is just way too early to call him the best player. And comparisons with S1mple and Niko are just crazy. Those guys have been at the top of their games for years, and he just won his first event.
u have to consider though that its his first year of tier 1 play and in the 2 international tournaments he attended he got 2nd and 1st, with the ladder being the most important tournament of the year. thats insanely impressive

Everyone in t1 valorant was a player that never found success or a washed up in cs(prx, most of NA players, edg, eu literally has scream and mixwell, etc) prx was literally a t2 csgo team before moving to val. That champions final match has 7 ex t2 csgo player, actually jawgemo was not even a pro csgo yet. Demon1 is insane but to say he is like s1mple is a joke. He's more of a really good val player and its just for this 1 tournament. And you say it's role restriction, but mentions he plays controller too, pick one. Whatever role he plays he's only good at aiming. And the purpose of creative play is to outplay your enemy without aim, so it goes both ways, aim player can win a fair 50:50 duel 70% of the time with raw mechanics but playmakers can make a 3k opportunity with reads, util, positioning, etc . Overall, i think he's a really good player potentially one of the best if he continue with this performance for a year or so, even so he would be more like a Loud or a turkish player(solid in everything with really good aim) but not the single best in val let along a generational talent and don't even compare him with s1mple.

@@patricklloyd1261 Chronicle dominated with GMB before Derke, he's been consistent on GMB and on FNC and also consistent and able to flex roles and play the same impactful on higher level. Without Chronicle (and all other FNC members) Derke wouldn't have been set up so good. Chronicle missed a year of LAN due to GMB issues as an org, so it's not his fault due to being excluded by being Russian/on Russian org. Let's take your approach, Demon1 missed like almost 3 years of LAN competitions, Chronicle missed 1. Do you measure athlete's success by one year or his/her career as a whole and how many trophies? Derke is definitely up there and as you've said top 5, don't get me wrong I definitely agree that Derke is up there on top, but number of trophies is the biggest sign of success in all sports, facts don't care about feelings and personal preferences.

I don't think he is the best player in Valorant yet. Yes, he had the best rating at Champions, but that doesn't automatically make him the best player. There are other duelists who have had higher ratings this year, and players like Alfajer also have a higher K/D than him. It's important to consider a player's entire body of work, not just their performance in one event. I don't want to hate on him because he is a really good player, but it is just way too early to call him the best player. And comparisons with S1mple and Niko are just crazy. Those guys have been at the top of their games for years, and he just won his first event.
u have to consider though that its his first year of tier 1 play and in the 2 international tournaments he attended he got 2nd and 1st, with the ladder being the most important tournament of the year. thats insanely impressive

His aim is one of the best but he's not a prodigy like s1mple bro. He doesn't have prodigy level team plays, creative plays, or anything else really. Someone like forsaken and alfa who is really good in every aspect of the game + have some pop off moments is a lot better than him in my book and they're not considered a generational prodigy.

Tenz was the most dominant by a mile in early valorant(back when it was just who shoots better) due to his mechanical skills (which is still insane for today's standard) and when he was still playing cs he wasn't near even being mentioned in prodigy conversation.

I think you'd have better chances of being comparable to cs players in makin team/support, creative, igl plays than mechanical skills, even though i think it's still t2 cs. Everyone in t1 valorant was a player that never found success or a washed up in cs(prx, most of NA players, edg, eu literally has scream and mixwell, etc) prx was literally a t2 csgo team before moving to val. That champions final match has 7 ex t2 csgo player, actually jawgemo was not even a pro csgo yet. Demon1 is insane but to say he is like s1mple is a joke. He's more of a really good val player and its just for this 1 tournament. And you say it's role restriction, but mentions he plays controller too, pick one. Whatever role he plays he's only good at aiming. And the purpose of creative play is to outplay your enemy without aim, so it goes both ways, aim player can win a fair 50:50 duel 70% of the time with raw mechanics but playmakers can make a 3k opportunity with reads, util, positioning, etc . Overall, i think he's a really good player potentially one of the best if he continue with this performance for a year or so, even so he would be more like a Loud or a turkish player(solid in everything with really good aim) but not the single best in val let along a generational talent and don't even compare him with s1mple.
