This is why I love hip hop / rap. People can say all they want, "they sample all their music" and "they are not original". Not true! What it comes down is passion. Whenever I see a DJ or a rapper, anybody in the hip hop culture on here they have this infectious passion behind their music and their own tastes and stuff. It makes me happy when these legends are happy finding something they've never seen or heard before. You can't deny that passion and that excitement from any person in any genre!
You listen at them talk, see the smiles on their face and eyes light up when they talk about their favorite vinyl pieces. That's how you can tell these 2 cats love music and of course DJing
Word up,I was digging there just the other day,Would have been dope to see those cats.I always run in2 legendary people at Amoeba digging through records.Peace/Bless
I have a CD recording of Jazzy Jeff and Mad Skillz live at Homeland in the UK from around 2007/08.. such a dope mix with all those classic cuts! The one CD I've played in the car more than any other, ever.
HAD THAT "WHAT IT IS" 45'S BOX SET YEARS AGO....AND MADE A RETURN WITH IT, JUST TO GET A PORTABLE....BAD MOVE....STILL KICKIN' MYSELF IN THE ASS FOR THAT ONE.

I don't listen to much hip-hop or r&b but I watch Crate Diggers all the time and this Z-Trip seems to have very good taste in music! Any suggestions on what disc of his I can buy to hear what he does? OH, and that Kool Chip Jazz it Up song has silly lyrics but the beat is cool: ua-cam.com/video/nBxwnnrWluM/v-deo.html

For some reason it won't let me reply to Nathan Hillman, but the song at 2:52 is Peter Frampton - Won't You Be My Friend.

Somebody commented the answer below because they couldn't reply to you directly for some reason.

DJs making records, and have rappers get on them? You mean like Shadow has been doing for how many years now?
You guys should make a tutorial on records how to clean them The correct way and how not to clean them
