this is the fourth video i've tried of this technique and i must be doing something wrong bc with each one the bow looks ok but i can't tighten it and it's too loose. any tips?

you can consider opting for a thicker ribbon as it has a tendency to maintain its shape more effectively and can be tightened into a neater bow. If possible, try using a slightly wider or stiffer ribbon. If you still having trouble to tighten the bow in the middle, try securing the center of the bow with a twist tie or a piece of thread before completing the final knot.
