The drying and ultrasonic cleaning process noise levels are comparable to the MARK II. Fan power and noise level can be adjusted. Overall noise produced by the machine is more bassy as the device has a powerful membrane pump. Noise insulation and vibration dampers in the unit have not yet been fully optimized, so we cannot share exact noise levels for the Fonoteek at this moment, but the aim is for the unit to be suitable for living room use as well.
Will Degritter be making a multiple LP auto changer for this machine (i.e. like the KL-Audio 5 LP auto changer) so you can load multiple records which will be cleaned and dried rather than just one record at a time ?
Will there be a plastic cover for this machine to protect from ambient airborne dust entering both when the machine isn't being used and when it is being used ?
No, the unit will operate with a single 120 kHz frequency. Previously we have experimented with dual frequency combination where the lower frequency is 40Khz, so it would remove larger dirt quicker. However, tests with dirtier records showed that the lower frequencies still require time to clean the larger surface dirt and combination of brushes and ultrasonic cleaning will give a quicker and better overall result.
Can this machine be directly plumbed into a water supply and fill up the tanks automatically and will it have a drainage outlet that can be plumbed to a nearby drain outlet for automatic tank emptying ?
No. The machine operates with two easy to remove 3L water tanks and requires distilled / deionized water to be added in both. The large filters in the device are using activated charcoal together with deionising resins to keep the water clean for longer use.
