It could be that Scotland is in for interesting times. Since the Scottish Parliament was created in 1999, there have been either two-party coalition governments or a one-party minority government. If, as seems possible, there is a general election for the Scottish Parliament this year, it seems unlikely that any two parties can, between them, for a majority government other than a Labour-SNP government. We can rule out any possibility of a Labour-SNP government. In view of the imminence of a general election, it seems likely that no party will join a coalition government that includes the Conservatives. That leaves only one other possibility: a Labour/Green/Lib Dem coalition government. Both Labour and the Lib Dems agree with the Greens on climate change and gender politics so such a coalition could be possible.
God forbid the Lib Dems & the Greens get together!
The hilarious problem with the Labour, LibDem, Green combination is that they would only have 33 Seats out of 128 and that's assuming that they let an outsider hold the speakership. On the plus side David Cameron would finally get to see his coalition of chaos writ large.

The Scottish Tories would have to vote to collapse the government.
Despite Arbroath council, they are polling very badly.
They do better on election day than polls. But they love losing, people of Scotland back the Scottish conservatives on key issues but they don’t identify with them and Westminster conservatives are so corrupt it damages the party up here.

I do feel a little sorry fro Mr Yousaf - I take no pleasure in watching this all unfold and the vultures circling - I dare say his actions were done in what he thought was the best of intentions and now no matter what he does he is going to be ripped to shreds - The guy has a wife ,kids and a family who wereno doubt very proud when he became First Minister and it must be very hurtful to read all the commennts being made about the man at the moment - Its all getting very unpleasant - Everybody and their Granny wants thier go at twisting the knife and a lot of these people have no room to talk about anyone else

He was unsuitable for the role of MSP, let alone FM and his ambition surpassed his ability. Politically he was naive and couldn’t stop his emotions leaking out at the dispatch box. People cite the white white white speech and the sheer vitriol evident in his eyes and body language whenever he was challenged in parliament. I’ve used the past tense as I think he’ll be gone by May.
Scottish politics is something of a cesspit where there are few secrets, alliances are formed and abandoned behind one’s back and where gossip and tittle tattle undermines good governance.
Whilst none of that is in anyway Humza’s fault, it was a sea in which he could not swim. He hasn’t been able to juggle the overbearing and undue influence of the Greens and the insidious Alba party which might, in the last be arbiter of his future.
Add to that the alleged criminal activities of SNP grandees, missing money, electric Jags, a £100k motorhome which turned up on a certain mother-in-law’s driveway having turned not a wheel in two years, profligate spending of tax payers money on foreign affairs, setting himself up as some sort of peripatetic diplomat roaming the globe in high level dealings with other nations and the worry of his family members facing criminal problems of their own, the poor state of the economy, education, health, widespread drug abuse, ill-advised legislation which was badly executed and poorly thought through, undermined as it has been by vexatious individuals. Add to this violent men in women’s prisons, disastrous ferry projects whilst endlessly trying to break up the UK; the list goes ever on.
All of this cumulatively has rendered his time as FM as untenable. A lot of it isn’t his fault but important problems seem almost self- inflicted.
He’s batting things out just now and putting on a brave face but he’ll eventually have to listen to those with his best interests at heart and go.
