At my store you can't pay cash at the self checkout I'm seriously reconsidering if I should renew I pay cash seventy five percent of the time and the lines are a disaster.
Costco self checkout is the worst experience. First of all it does not have the hand held scanners that some associates is holding, making it extremely difficult to scan big items. Secondly it asked you to put all items on the weighting zone and you cannot take anything off it until you paid. This is ridiculously slow because I need to take everything off the cart and then put everything back. Waste of my time. Seriously why the heck they do this now that they specifically hired someone at the door to check whether you paid for everything?
I hate those machines. I once spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to check out because the machine kept saying there was an error, an employee had to keep coming over to unlock the machine and I'd have to start over again numerous times. And then because of all that back and forth, at the end there was an item that hadn't been scanned and the employee and I had a really hard time trying to figure out which item it was. The whole thing was embarrassing and so time consuming.
Vallarta supermarket has the same kind of problem. You have to put your stuff on the weighting zone and you can’t remove it until you pay for it and the receipt pops out

I like paying with cash because I’ll end up spending way too much using my debit card.
