I container garden only & most of my tomatoes & some peppers have this damage. How would they even get in containers if you said they gets rid of them. My garden is on a deck of an apt, 3 stories up so there is no garden dirt anywhere. I've used all organic potting mix or I've made my own mix with peat moss, Perlite/Vermiculite, worm castings & mushroom compost & some of my own compost. I covered with wood chips. So DE is my best defense as I have a small garden & can't afford to lose any of them.

I’ve heard that you can take sheep wool and place it around the root of the plant to get rid of flea beetles. I understand the wool is like a net to capture the beetle (and other insects). Do you think this is correct?

Flea beetles has damaged all my brassica oleracea, mathiola incana leaves and buds, alyssum maritimum leaves, that all are like a tutu fabric. The worst are the brassica that was a tall dark purple leaves that become beige brown, they ate the entire top and underside of the leaf, leaving only a structural mesh. a disaster. I have added diatomeas earth the day I saw it, but the damage was already done. The stock flower are to did it out. They left no green space for photosynthesis on it.
Now I'm I'm looking forward to understand they life cycle and some how discouraging them from my garden. This year the damaged was to much I lost my whole crop of Stocks flowers 😭.
