Honestly it’s so refreshing to hear that I’m not alone. I had almost the exact same experience as you. For years I was so lost, so broken - mentally and physically that I genuinely didn’t know what to do or where to go anymore. I pray that if I have a daughter, she doesn’t end up with these issues as they are genetic, but I promised myself that if she ends with PCOS or Endo, I will give her the best possible care so that she never has to suffer like we did!

I wonder if my mom it thinking now the same way, because I'm 18 and just got diagnosed with endometriosis ,likely got it from my own mom who suffered from it from years
And now suddenly my whole life is ruined
She still can't accept the fact that it's genetical and insists that I got it randomly (I think that she still can't accept the truth that her daughter is gonna go through the exact same pain now and at this young age)
I had very big academic dreams but now everything is ruined infront of me all teared in pieces, I honestly just wish this pain and discomfort could leave just for one day I don't even wanna study anymore just please free me
She still didn't talk to me about, I wonder if she is even planning too .. Because I'm almost feeling like she doesn't care or can't realise how bad I need her right now how bad I need her to validate my pain, I wish she is gonna talk to me sooner because I'm completely lost and broken both mentally and physically right now

As a women who doesn't experience healths problems i cant imagine how much pain they feel 💔. Its important for young women to learn about disease that might change their life and to help those who do have problems with fertility ect. Im here and think of this as a virtual hug

Been following your Tik toks for months now and came across your UA-cam today to see this vid, I also have Endo and PSOC. Listening to this video sounds exactly like what I tell all of my friends and family I feel, and I’v also been fobbed off every by doctors and been put on every form of contraception you could name! Can totally understand the dull pain and shooting pains in the lower stomach!! Never seen anyone else say they get this when I’ve watched vids. Sorry you’re suffering with this too ❤️

Thank you so much for posting this! I have been following you on TikTok for a while now for your amazing recipes and had no idea that you suffered with endometriosis and PCOS! I was diagnosed when I was 19 with endometriosis after suffering for years with probably over 30 appointments before being taken seriously! So refreshing seeing people like you thriving as know first hand how difficult it is living with a chronic illness x

I feel your wait is actually quite lucky a lot of girls including me waited years on end, I went to my gp at 16 and only now at 22 had surgery, but I have no answers there’s no signs of endo but I have all the symptoms etc. but I’m so pleased you were finally listened to and got the help you needed. The wait through the nhs is years on end even worse since covid xxx

Thank you for your video and transparency. I have all the symptoms you have /had. I’ve been to multiple doctors and have comment about the birth control effecting my mental health and they still put me on it. It can definitely be very frustrating. Just recently been diagnosed with pcos and do have the symptoms you had that came with endometriosis. It is hard when the doctors just dismiss you, I will probably have to get the surgery to check for endometriosis just nervous but thank you for the video definitely helped to not feel alone and validated about what I have been experiencing for years!

It's so sad that most of us are messed around by medical professionals and not taken seriously. I thank God that as soon as i mentioned something to my gp, she was on it immediately and referred me for an ultrasound. I've had a positive experience with the NHS so far... currently waiting for my laparoscopy.

I would just like to post this so share my experience with PCOS. So as long as I have known I always had every irregular periods, I went when to the GP when I was around 18. I was given a scan and told everything was normal and stuck on the pill without further explanation. Finally as I have gotten older I wanted to try for a baby… seeing as my periods were regular from being on the pill I thought everything was fine. Of course soon as I stopped the pill I didn’t have a period for around 6-8months again I went to the GP they offered tests and finally was diagnosed with PCOS. As many people are aware PCOS often is discussed along topics such as fertility. Although it was a very difficult I finally did get pregnant. I just want to let others know a success pregnancy story with PCOS as I can remember looking for those when I was first diagnosed..

I am late to this video but just got to say I love how you talk about your story and share your experience. I was 16 when I went to the doctors for suspected PCOS and all I got told after being put through the "shame" as a teenager every time I went was being told to lose weight (yes I knew I was slightly higher weight but I had been trying to manage it for a while and still am) and it is just heartbreaking constantly being told on every call that it's my weight, especially when I know there is something else. I also got chucked on the pill due to never having a period and even when I say it is mentally ruining me they just give me another. So thank you I am going to make another appointment to get help xsx

WOW!! this video has come just at the right time. im currently day 4 post op, after 5/6 years of suffering with gyn problems, and only a year and a half ago being offered a diagnostic laparoscopy by the hospital 'just in case' i had endometriosis. i was told i have imbalanced hormones and that i basically had to deal with it. I have been on nearly every oral contraceptive pill going , and i just hate being on it. None really helped any of my symptoms.
The surgeon found endometriosis on Friday and burnt away what she could, but had to leave what was too close to my uterus.
NO ONE warned me what recovery would be like, especially the constipation...lol. The pre assessment nurse told me 4 days and i would be fine... that is not the case. Although i can now get up off the sofa and out of bed by myself, i still feel like there is a weight attached to my lower stomach pulling constantly. Bloat is still here, and walking funny also. Sickness and tiredness is something I'm still feeling, and I'm yet to work out how I'm going to wash my hair because i currently have no walk in shower.
Holly, our symptoms are so similar, and not the typical symptoms that are associated with endo. Like you said, PUSH until you feel you are being treated with the right care. We know when our bodies aren't right, and i have been suffering for years because i didn't push, and i believe my problems just got worse and worse. Thank you for this video, it made me tear up at just the relief that I'm not alone, and the only one going through these problems xxx much love

This video has helped me to much! I had a private gynaecology appointment a few weeks ago to have the coil removed (I only had this to try help my possible endo symptoms (haven’t had a diagnosis yet), it didn’t work for me) and during the ultrasound the gynaecologist told me I had pcos but he wouldn’t talk about it with me as that wasn’t the reason for my appointment, and when I asked if there’s any next steps I should take, he told me to just lose weight which has left me feeling awful, it’s nice to know I’m not the only one because that’s how I’ve been feeling ❤️

Hi, thanks so much for sharing your story. I've just subscribed! I just recently got diagnosed with PCOS and I've been having no periods for 9 months now, I voiced my concern to the gyno on the same day about having endo as well as it's in my family, I've had constant leg pain/sciatica since my periods stopped and I used to have sometimes really sore and heavy periods when I was younger before I took the pill. Since I came off the pill 9 months ago my periods stopped which is where I'm at now. The Dr literally said 'you have no periods, endo is painful periods' and that was it, completely shut down the idea. This was a private gyno as well which is paid out of my own pocket :( I'm going to go to an endo specialist, I really hope I get some answers. The constant leg pain has been the worst. I'm looking into altering my diet to see what works, it is very overwhelming because everything online is so inconsistent!

Been dismissed about my pain for years, it started when I was 10. Well controlled with birth control. Came off birth control 2 years ago and all hell broke loose. Confirmed by an MRI I have deep infiltrating into my bowels, rectum, 2 chocolate ovarian cysts and a blocked tube. Getting surgery in December it feels so good knowing why I always had so much pain in my day to day life.

I didn’t even know there was a Kyleena coil! I was on the mirena years ago and it helped with my endo pains but then stopped after 8 months, plus the small amount of hormone still affected me, I might have to give Kyleena a go!

Hi from the USA👋 Our symptoms are similar! I have been experiencing a lot of the symptoms of PCOS for years but didn't think anything of it after I brought it to my mom's attention when I was 14. She said I was fine as she had the symptoms I had at her age. This year I finally went to a gyno for my pap and I told her about the PCOS symptoms I was experiencing. She even saw my hairy face after not shaving for a whole week. I have to shave every other day otherwise the stuble and shadow shows like a man 😔 I was embarrassed but she said that's normal for PCOS girls. I did blood work and turns out I have very high DHEA and testosterone levels. Ultrasound showed everything was okay I assume as I didn't get my results. Now this year, I'm noticing endometriosis symptoms. I too get sharp lightning like pain that shoots down my crotch and dull, aching, and stabbing pain where my ovaries are randomly. I also get lower back pain too. In addition, I have digestion issues and some bladder issues like a UTI kinda feeling but I don't have the blood in urine. Waiting for my endocrinologist appointment next month. Hope I get answers soon. I'm scared of surgery as I have really bad anxiety( been hospitalized for it many times) but I know it will be worth it😬 Thank you for sharing your story and helping raise awareness for female reproductive health 😊

I feel you I went to 9 different OBGYN’s in Ohio and Pennsylvania for issues I was having and finally when I moved to florida, one took me seriously because I told her I would get sharp shooting pains when I would go to stand up or come back up after bending over and I was seeing dark circle and blacking out. They finally did an ultrasound and saw that I had a tubal pregnancy the size of an orange in there. Had it surgically removed within the week.

I just got my surgery done yesterday. I’m worried about when I’ll be able to get back in the gym for weightlifting. I know everyone is different, but I haven’t found any ladies with active lifestyles talking about recovering. Most of the people who blogged their experiences either don’t mention exercise or only talk about doing cardio. I want to know when I can deadlift and hip thrust again!
Are you back to being active in the gym now that it’s been so long?

Hi thanks Holly for this video!! Super eye opening! I am not sure whether I have endo or PCOS or both!! But I’m finding it hard to loose weight and am also extremely bloated (especially around my period or the lead up to it). Would you say the main flag for PCOS or Endo is irregular periods? Mine are pretty on time … just curious if that’s the main warning sign?

From USA: I feel really blessed right now..... what you and the commenters are experiencing sounds like negligent medicine. 💔 Does the NhS block you from going to directly to an OB/GYN? My GYN heard very heavy bleeding and immediately did an internal ultrasound. Yes, the post-op gas pains are rough. Outpatient surgery, went home, drank yogurt, went to sleep, woke up and drank about 48 oz of water in 1 hour. Around 3 or 4 am, the pain from#2 was HORRIBLE. After that, bowel pain dropped from 10 to 3 until 0. My wish is for you to not have to deal with this any longer. One Love ♥️♥️♥️
