I know this is a late response but I wanted to say that the public noticed how the station treated Ann Curry. I liked her and I miss her. They screwed her over big time, and they didn't even give her a chance to absorb what happened.

Kelly Ripa makes 20 million a year for doing this job. I've been told my job was made redundant and would end in a week, while I was working, and I went right on working -- for 20 thousand a year. I've never had a boss warn me that a co-worker was leaving.
Kelly and Michael Strahan did not talk to each other except on the showo so he did not discuss his job change with her. He went through all of the correct communiction with ABC when he was looking to move on to GMA. After she found out he was leaving, Kelly was so embarrassingly rude to Michael during Live he left several weeks earlier than planned.

I don't blame Michael cuz he flat out was told NOT to say anything to anyone ... and i don't even blame the ABC folk for wanting him on GMA. but those ABC folk should have told her what was about to transpire, even if those folk didn't want it brought up on air til the change was made. There is no justification in NOT telling her at all.
Kelly is one morning show that I will not watch, Kelly is a attention getter and has done this on air many times. She reminds me of a bully or a person that likes to put others down for her amusement. Now Michael on his new program I absolutely love and will watch.. It's pretty apparent that Micheal left because like he said Kelly's the Queen of day time talk, and to work with someone with a big ego is hard!
To all those saying they have never been notified about their coworkers leaving I highly doubt it was a similar situation. He wasn’t just some random guy who happened to work at the same place she did . He was her COHOST! He was literally half of the show. Him leaving was a huge change and I don’t think she was wrong for having wanted a little heads up.

I guess I’m not understanding why Kelly Ripa believes that people she works with aren’t entitled to make choices about what’s best for their own lives- both personally & professionally. Why does she get to decide that & not them? And then feels she has a right to be angry about it? When someone you closely work with leaves….it can be VERY difficult for many reasons, but it’s not a license to hold a grudge.

So everyone knew about it at ABC except Ripa, when the change affects her more than anyone (besides Michael of course). It's discourteous to allow that to happen as a company when the job fundamentally involves two co-hosts/co-performers/co-authors/co-whatever. Very discourteous. Especially since Kelly had been there for years you'd think someone would have said something like "Hey just so you know there have been discussions about changing co-hosts and Michael moving over to GMA"
I am on Kelly's side, she deserves to know before all America, she worked with him every day and was left in the dark and learned about his departure while watching tv. She deserves respect as much as anyone else!!

Kelly is a sweetheart. I met her once and had my pic taken with her. She was so sweet and complimentary towards me. She spent a good 5 minutes talking to me and my mom. She was a popular star already on All My Children. She literally saved what was once "the Regis and Kathy" show. Talk about annoying - Kathy Gifford pushing Regis around. Puke. So yeah, this show belongs to Kelly. She saved it and made it what it is today. Don't be hating on her. She has also managed to keep her marriage together and out of the limelight and has raised good kids.

I totally understand why she was upset because it was on live television. But in a normal work environment like 99.9% of the country, a coworker doesn't have to tell you anything. But, again the shock on live television is pretty crappy.
