- Playing a simul against Vishy Anand is a dream come true for many individuals. The man is a five-time World Champion and a living legend in the chess world.
On 13th of June a simul was held for a good cause where Billionaire Nikhil Kamath beat Vishy Anand. Beating Vishy gives you bragging rights for the rest of your life. The game was flawless and without any errors.

It is important to note here that the team of Rakesh, chess.com India, Prachura, Samay, Tania did their best to put up a great show for the chess lovers and enthusiasts across the country in the world. We also contacted Aruna Anand, the wife and manager of Vishy Anand who said, "Well Nikhil contacted Anand today & explained this tweet . Anand replied to say that he cant deny algorithm and personally wouldnt comment on tbe issue. He requested Mr. Kamath not to involve Anand’s name in his tweets or in his course of action. That he went ahead and did it and allege something is disrespectful."

People outside of chess fraternity plays it as normal game.. as we used to play gully cricket in childhood.. so can't blame him.. I also didn't know that it was disrespectful to use an engine untill I started following chess regularly

I say that because it looks like the others were cheating too... So many of these celebs cheating in tandem can happen only if it's talked about in advance..
He is definitely at fault, but the main culprit is the organizers. If you watch the stream you realise most of the guests used engine to play, but Nikhil was the only one who foolishly overdid it. All this to make the stream longer and get more donations. I mean there could've been other ways to do that, and not this, after all a 5-time world champion's reputation was at stake.
Also, donations generate karne toh guests panel se unki income ka 0.002% le lete toh bhi 10L+ ho jaata 😭 Nikhil is a freaking billionaire.
I believe Vishy's decision to resign there is absolutely a masterstroke, making Nikhil win has indeed compelled us to realise such gimmicks shouldn't be tolerated ( that too in front of a legend himself )

Actually Vishy was very smart to resign instead of flagging. Reasons -
1) If he would have won, this cheating would not have garnered enough attention.
2) Had Anand won, Nikhil would have the excuse of not defeating Anand as time rather than position and could have easily been a flexing point for him.
Man vishy is a genius he knows nikhil is cheating & vishy can flag him & win that game on time but he deliberately resigned so that people can understand who cheated & expose him

I am a rated chess player, and I am against him because he cheated but I don’t consider myself a part of chess community because the so called “chess community” just thinks that chess is exclusive to them, that normal people can’t and should not play chess.

In the same simul another celebrity Kichcha Sudeep Cheated. His previous games accuracy was 8% and 18% against 500+ rated players previous day but against anand it went up to 82% next day (joke?). He lasted 10-20moves against 500rated players in previous games but lasted 58moves against Anand. Absolutely. Kamath was not the only person that cheated. At least three of them looked suspect. In the post-game interviews, you could tell from Vishy and Tania Sachdev's faces they knew the entire situation felt extremely suspicious, but they remained polite. Even I was following up this event. Many actor(Sudeep,Sajid and Ritesh) pannel 1 said that they were playing chess very casually and they had nothing to loose. They play cricket in similar way to which Vishy Sir replied that this was not just a game who know little about chess. This was so disrespectful from these actors. Even they were using unfair means to play chess.

Samay is a fraud. Don't you know this from the way he earns off of his streams? He has converted chess into a shallow business just like cricket. He got triggered on twitter when some chess players criticised him but in reality they were speaking the truth. There is no need to mainstream a sport. If people are interested, they will automatically participate. Make the sport meaningful rather than making it pleasurable. Since chess is not a sport of India, we can't relate to it, hence, the viewership of players was less in the past. Rather focus on carrom, ludo, gilli danda, kho kho, kabaddi, etc. sports like these. There are some regional sports also like what they do with laathi in punjab. why not mainstream these desi sports?
I would love to watch kho kho or gilli danda being streamed on youtube. Or even Ludo. They say ludo is a game of luck. Well, stone paper scissors is also a game of luck. But they have made a sport out of it. Why can't we do that with ludo by doing modifications to the game? And even with snakes and ladders.
