This is an indepth review of Hindustan motors Land Master. This car was a rebadged version of Morris oxford series 2 . This car came to India on 1954 and was replaced by Ambassdor Mark 1 which came to the Indian market on 1957.

Can you explain the difference between side valve & O. H. V and the merits of O. H. V

Actually OHV means over head valve engine . As the name says in this setup the valves are placed above combustion chamber. In a flat head or side valve engine the poppets valves are placed within the engine blocks .

engine റൂം ബൂട്ടിങ് സ്പേസ് എന്നിവ കാണിച്ചില്ല. എങ്ങിനെ സൗണ്ട് ബോണറ്റ് ഓപ്പൺ ചെയ്തു കേൾപ്പിക്കാമായിരുന്നു. ഒരു സത്യം പറയട്ടെ പഴയ ഡാഷ്‌ബോർഡ്, സ്റ്റിയറിംഗ്, ഗിയര് എന്നിവ അതെ പോലെ കീപ് ചെയ്യേണ്ടിയിരുന്നു.

I think engine is not the original side valve. ( Sound difference) Steering, gear lever , interior altered. Not of landmaster. Also landmaster was produced between 1955 to 1957 . Not 1954. This car seen in and around Trivandrum some years back.

Because engine has changed into overhead valve 1489 cc Ambassador's engine....
not fitted landmaster;s side valve engine

@@anandsingh9419 it's very good. Same we have done with our loved lady. She is also having OHV petrol engine . It's easy to maintain. Side valve engines have lots of draw back. Only advantage you can drive through water logged place as carburettor is placed on top
