I bought the Foonf for my first born three years ago after finding you on IG and seeing you use it for your own kids. I now have a three and one year old; they love their seats, and I love the peace of mind I get from putting them in essentially a mini-tank. This video will be fantastic in a few years when the oldest maxes out the H/W requirements. Thanks for being such a great resource all these years! Forever a SITS gal and sending my expecting friends your way!
This was so so so helpful! I felt like supermom figuring this out myself but really it's you that's a supermom/safety technician! Thank you so so much for this video and all your content! I've learned so much!
You need to use this manual from Clek to install with those seat belts: support.clekinc.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035927032-Can-Foonf-be-installed-with-inflatable-seat-belts
In the US and Canada, we refer to them as rigid lower anchors. We are aware that the European term is isofix. A 7 year old is going to be too big for this seat. The limits for forward-facing are 65 pounds OR 49" OR a 17" seated shoulder height.
I have inflatable seat belts and it’s a big reason why I am considering this with latch. My question is, do you HAVE to install the seat belt too or is the lower anchors and top securement enough?
For the US version, unless your child is under 25 pounds, you have to use the seat belt. If you have the Canadian version, you have to use the seat belt once the child is 40 pounds.
I feel like the rigid lower anchor connectors would be so nice to have! For the life of me, I can't loosen the strap for traditional lower anchor connectors without almost hurting myself 😂 I'm probably doing it wrong
Are you required to use the seat belt and the rigid uas latches? Or can you just use the UAS rigid latches and the top. tether with no seat belt? I know the more the merrier, but the seat belt is always the worst part of any installation and takes the longest. So just wondering if it's safe enough to just. use the rigid latches. I mean, they seem safer than the seat belt.
If you want to use the seat until the child is 65 pounds, you must use the seat belt. The lower anchors have a max weight limit that is way below that.
You make great videos. ❤️ Your videos would be more helpful, however, if you also show how easy it is to buckle up the respective seat and how comfortable the child, you buckle up, finds the seat 😉
Thanks for watching! I've never heard any kid complain about comfort in this seat and it's one we recommend a lot/it's been around for many, many years!
It's definitely not impossible to install this seat. The Clek Foonf has been around for about a decade, so thousands of parents have successfully installed this seat!

You’re welcome! It’s my pleasure to help make car seat safety easy! And you are a supermom for sure!
Great, the lower rigid anchors were not described well in the manual, the video helped!
Glad you found the video helpful!

I was wondering if you still use the seatbelt lock off with Ford’s inflatable seatbelts? Thanks for a great installation video!

The "Rigid anchors" are called ISOFIX. Thanks for the video. Would recommend this for a 7 year old?

Rigid lower anchors are amazing!
Do you still use the lower rigid latch for toddlers over 35lbs? I read that you should not. But seems odd to not?
You have to add the seat belt with it. This is one of the only seats that allows you to use the lower anchors and the seat belt at the same time.
Hi, I cannot get my lower rigid latches to release!! HELP! Changing my daughter to forward facing
Don’t you just press the red buttons on the end?
To release when forward facing, you pull the black section at the bottom of the car seat. There are 2. Pull it out and the rigid latches release
Page 57 in your manual shows how to do it

Does the clek foonf work foward facing in an outward bound seat in the wagoneer with the tilted head rest?
Yes

Literally each one of these steps is impossible. DO NOT BUY THIS SEAT!!!!
