Thanks for you help, the manual it's really confusing.
After tightening the strap if it still moving too much try pushing down on the seat and pulling the strap at same time. This worked for me hopefully it helps.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've had this carseat for 15 months and I finally know how to adjust it. I kept putting the strap inside the hole, having the carseat too loose, instead of having opposite ends of the strap on each side of hole.

It's sad I had to watch a video to figure out how to install it. They don't make it easy.
I said the same thing after fighting mine and before finding a video… why can’t it clam in at the bottom and the seatbelt just go around the back. Good lord
I remember them telling me at the hospital that 90 percent or some high number of people don’t install car seats right but it’s like what do you expect when they make them so complicated to figure out.
@Thepokeuser my son is 24 and my daughters are 2 and 4. His seat just went in with a seat belt and was easy to get in and out. Now you LITERALLY INSTALL THEM in your vehicle.

Our infant car seats came with bases and I absolutely hated them. They always got stuck.

Great video! One thing I noticed was that your car seat still moved a lot. Try pushing down on the middle of the seat and pulling the anchor strap keep doing that until the carseat doesn’t move more than an inch. Test this by wiggling the seat back and fourth and side to side and the anchor pass way!

Awesome video! I’ve had my poor little one improperly in her car seat for a couple of rides (good thing for the pandemic in terms of me not having my child in the car uncomfortable for a long time). You’ve touched on every important aspect of the car seat. Also, it is our responsibility as parents to read the car seat manual and car manual to insure that everything is hooked up right and adjusted perfectly for our children. My gut kept telling me something was wrong with the set up. Never doubt your gut feeling, it’s actually your conscious speaking to you.

I believe that’s for forward facing so just ignore it?
The manual explains where to store it on the car seat :)
How did the adjuster get to the other side?
It shouldn't move more than one inch and the carseat should never touch the front seat. Other than that, helpful video, thanks!

How do you install it with the seatbelt?
The author of the video left the back of the car seat touching the front passenger seat. There's supposed to be at least the thickness of one hand in between the car seat and the passenger's seat. Check out videos but always double-check your manual afterwards!!!

Studies have shown that babies even of 2 years should stay rear facing. Its safer.
How do you loosen the adjuster strap? I saw where you tighten it but how can I loosen it?? I had to change my car seat into another car & now it won’t seem to budge & I don’t know if it’s broken or I just forgot how. Someone please help 🥺

You need to buy the baby roll cage adapter. Model XV2700.
When tightening the strap, it won't go further than a certain point (it's still very loose). No matter how much force I apply to it. Can anyone help me, please??

@taylormcdonald2762 Yes, I did. I was pulling the strap towards the right door, which was not correct. You have to do it pulling from the left side towards that side. Reply if you don't understand.

Yess you can
That doesn't sound as safe. I wouldn't try it with my baby.

You say to feed the non adjuster hook to through to the left, and then 2 seconds later you say the adjuster hook should be on the left. Makes no sense

There's an adjustment lever under the seat, in the front.

This seat looks so small in your truck. I have a 02 Jetta and it barely fits even with the passenger seat all the way up

Man yours tilted easy, I got the same one and I couldn't get it to tilt to save my life so I had to still use my girlfriend's till I get it figured out
