As it is with many things in audio, Do whatever sound good! You can Clip a bus or multiple buses, you can clip individual tracks. Experiment and listen if it's helping or hurting the sounds and end product! Have fun!
Tried it and I think it’s one of the best out there, tried comparing it with my current limiter which is Fire The Clip by Acustica Audio and this one sounds close. Hope people realize that clipper plugins really differs when it comes to retaining the quality of the sound as you push it towards clippers. Free plugs and some cheap ones can clip but not as good as this and the Fire The Clip by AA, and what I like about this one compared to acustica is it doesn’t strain the CPU. Just wow
Great video and demonstration! Question: Why use this clipper instead of a stock plugin? Is there any real benefit you noticed when using it that stuck out to you?
This video was going to come out eventually, but thanks to the people at Black Salt Audio, they were going to release this new plugin, so the timing worked out to use this in place of a stock plugin, but the process would be the same with a stock option!
Hi my Friend, how's it going?? I have a maybe noob question here... Should I use the Clipper/Limiter during the mixing stage on the master bus... I mean, making my moves on tracks and busses thru this Clipper/limiter turned on? Or, just enable the clipper/limiter after everything is done, to get some loudness to send it for reference to mastering and client? Thanks in advance and congratulations on the channel! Cheers!
That's a tough one, but I would suggest waiting until your mix feels 70% done. Clipping will bring in some loudness and retain the punch. Limiting may pull a little "presence" out of your mix. You'll want to dial these in close to the end so you don't hit them too hard and convince yourself that louder must make it better.
I appreciate your easy to understand and well spoken information. Subscribed, thank you!
As always great explanation! Btw what do you recommend? Put it in a Bus channel or in the overall Mix channel?

This is the best comparison of clipping and limiting that I’ve seen.🔥🍗
