OMG! Last year, I was looking up my dad’s old DD the Mason (DD-852) & I didn’t realize that when it said Gearing class it was any significance. Now that the Gearing is out for the game & you said there were 105 in the series. When you removed the camo, I saw my dad’s ship! I looked it up again & was right- it was a Gearing class DD! I’m in tears because today is my
late dad’s birthday (4/29). Thanks, Spartan!!!

So Spartan I decided on Balti instead of Hipper. Needless to say I’m happy. You mentioned my play style. I just hit 2100 games since starting in July of last year and I started as a gun boat destroyer player I got creamed in battleships couldn’t last a second in them. Your videos taught me how to play now I’m a battleship player particularly a brawler. I have 176 games in the Roma which is my favorite brawler. My favorite BB I’ve unlocked so far in tech tree is Vladdy however those damn flanks are so week on it. Feel like the belt is made of butter but the bow is made of tungsten carbide. Needless to say can’t wait to see Gearing
Yeah I was a cruiser guy until I learned how to play battleships. Now I prefer them. Used to hate them. I started in Late September and have about 2070 games with 55% WR. 300 battles in the New Mexico. Iowa is pretty awesome. I’m working Bismarck right now. Half way through Gneis grind
That camo looks like it belongs in a Gundam series. I could see that floating through space next to Salamis-class cruisers and Magellan-class battleships

My uncle served on a Gearing class destroyer back in the 70's. When I told him his ship was featured in my game, I'm fairly certain it was the only time he smiled about anything related to a game of any kind in my life.

Saw one gearing today in my team and and he was just turning around the left base while firing torpedoes from at least 14-16km (must be like 8-9 miles) it was really frustrating cuz he hit like 2 times in the entire game while i was trying to keep the base at close range (i had my roma) and i killed 2 out of 5 ships and did 140k like 4-5 minutes, man i was pissed

As a destroyer main, I personally would use look at me now instead of fragile threat because yes fragile threat gives better concealment but i would rather not have decreased health and lose a gunfight because of it and look at me now is only more exposed by like 0.1 km for most ships

Maybe change the 3 perk so you have faster torp reload instead of the longer range. It would still have awesome range.

Mordoff wouldn't be a bad pick either if you grabbed him. He gives that kick ass reload and sheltered arms is nifty to continue to fire your guns when ranked up all the way.
You can also use that torpedo upgrade more viably with Mordoff.

Hey Spartan, I need your advice on something. In your opinion, what is the better option, to go help a fellow teammate who is alone on the other side of the map from the enemy carrier, or to capture the nearby bases to gain more points in the long run?
Capture the bases win the game. Help someone who is a long ways away and they are likely dead before you get there and/or soon after you get there. Securing Caps wins games.

Thank you because that's what I did yesterday using the Kidd and I got hate from a fellow teammate using the Fiji because he went alone and was soon overwhelmed by enemy ships. We did win that match from me capping 3 bases and I got over 2k base xp

Just imagine getting Jerzy Swirski and Erich Bey both at max rank with legendary 4, for the ultimate stealth destroyer. I'm sure you could get the Gearing's detectability down to 4.5km.

That is one interesting camo. Have you ever melted a permanent camo onto a ship and then regretted it?. I never liked the St Patty's day camo personally. Do you have a favorite?.

It dose suck when you do everything you can and still lose because you deployed with the blue team. I probably would have tried to get on A, and torp them when they pushed in.

Honestly I don't remember much about the Ashitaka I am sure I have a Meet the on the ship if you want to search for it.

This scenario plays out repeatedly in matches. Peeps need to learn the art of clock management as well as learning the ships. WOWS is first and foremost a strategy game.
How does one acquire steel badges?
Finishing Campaigns Early, Playing Ranked or Arena Modes and placing in a certain bracket.

Why does mine do nothing but shatter shells?! On DDs its guns are dusgusting. On cruisers, the AP is disgusting! But on BBs? AP AND HE just shatters. I had over 250 shattered and or ricochet shells last game I played! What am i doing wrong????
Aim for super structure with HE or bow and stern side plating and upper side plating with AP

Great video but I do disagree with you that the Gearing will help put the Shima in check. The Shima is a LOT faster, better concealment and with the new Fishy commander from the space event it now gets 84 knot screamer torps. If the Shima is getting spotted by the Gearing they are playing it wrong.
Here's the problem with that thought if you are using Twist n Track you can literally B-Line directly at them and they don't know where you are and at best Shima will have a 0.6km spotting cushion on my Gearing. that is not a lot of time especially early in a match when you are likely to be going at each other at flank speed.
Once the Gearing has you it is pretty difficult for you to escape due to the rate of fire.
Last night Alone I took out a Division with Khaba and Shima, and had another Game where I went right at 2 seperate Shimas during the course of the match and Gearing came out on top.
I know that it all comes down to who's sailing the ships but Gearing in my Opinion is the best Legendary destroyer now. It can do everything the Khaba can do and it has great Torps that can do what the Shima does maybe slightly less effectively due to 10 vs 15 torps but other than that...
@@SpartanElite43 agreed the Gearing is an amazing DD but the Shima is still very dangerous and unless the gearing can burn the Shima down very quickly that base 42.6 knot speed will allow it to get out of sight, once the gearing gives away its position it’s pretty easy to kite them I’ve done it to a few gearings already. Kept them in detection range while myself not being detected until my team killed them. But like you said it’s all up to the player. I play mostly DD’s so I’m amazing at them. Also let’s not forget that while not many people use it the Japanese DD line has a commander Takeo Kurita with Twist n Track as well you’re going to sacrifice some stuff like 0.2 detection range but still
why it's in 1440p and not in 2160p???
Wow I didn't even notice and that explains why I had to rescale the gameplay....
My guess is that I forgot to set my OBS back after recording an episode of War on the Sea
So I recorded the Intro clip in 1440p and the gameplay was 2160p as usual.
Because I loaded the 1440p footage first that set the project resolution to 1440p
So that is why i had to rescale the gameplay and I didn't even think about that...
Thanks for pointing this out I honestly didn't even notice.
