Aww I love how the one thing they agreed on was looking out for their kids
Truly the point of the vid
was gonna point that out
That's really the wonderfull part of it.
Nowadays it seems that much of what I hear from many people is how " we just can't aguree on anything anymore, so we will enevitaby be unable to change anything in society due to this devide", but this video gives us an idea of why this is not necesserally how it is, and of course not how it should be.
Humans are not just " all different" or " all the same", since we are both of those things and more.
We can disagree on most things with many people, but our fundamental drives to have a happy and healthy life for ourselves, for other people, for children if we want to have them and do.
We all want to be less exploited, to be valued in society as a person who is able to do the best for our communities.
And most of our disagreements come from other less essential fields, and misunderstandings or lack of education of how to reach the fundamental goals of most human beeings.
The difficulty comes in when people pride themselves on theirown individual thinking rather than on the observable material reality which can reliably reproduce predictable results which we can then know by experimenting and educating ourselves, instead of fighting for the bitter end towards subjective propositions which we haven't reliably tested, nor that we can test in any way.
And in this problem we experience too much doubt towards things which should be more believable, and less doubt on things on which more should be applied.
Be a person religious or not, left or right, and everything in between, we cirtainly all need critical thinking.
In my view, if critical thinking is well thought to more people, than it will be more likely for us to set aside our differences temorerally in order to find and implement the solutions for problems which we then all are able to acknowledge.
Spreading and improving critical thinking skills is not an easy, nor a desirable process for some, but I think its worth a shot, be it in our personal lives, and within a context of the collective.
Speaking of which, there needs to be a more neutral language to figure out when teaching it to ourselves and people, since some people will be offended if the example of " whare more critical thinking can be and needs to be applied" is their personal belief (like religion)
Whille I myself am not religious per say since I'm an Egnostic Atheist, I see that I can't teach a religious person "how to use critical thinking skills" if I use their deeply held belief as an example of when " critical thinking demolishes irrational thinking", it will just offend them naturally, and that will be the end of the discussion on that.
The next time that person hears of " critical thinking skills" they will think "oh that is that anti religious nonsence that offended me", and they will close up, so it will make it even more difficult for them to get over this barrier.
Listen, im all for radical oposition when people are litterally hurt or killed because of the lack of critical thinking beeing implemented on the part of the purpotrator/s, but for the rest of the time , we can also try to use more neutral language whille still holding our own and not lying to the people which are on our side already.
We don't need to all think the same, but we do need to be able to use the same (mental)tools which help us understand our own beliefs and actions better, and who can help us systematically examin the world with less contradictions in our own thinking.
Just like we are thought how to eat with a spoon and fork, and to drink from a glass, and to walk, and to talk, we also need to be thought how to think( beyond what we have intuitively learned through experience)
What is subjective about us therefore can be what is original about our character, but what is materially objective about us can be what is common umong all of us, and which will inform us what we need to do alongside the collective in order for all of our lives to have the opportunity to express our subjectivity in a healthy way in which we don't hurt anyone, and no one would want to or be able to hurt us.
( of course, as much as thease positive needs things can be maintained, and as much as the negatives can be prevented, rehabilitated and overcome)
Here is one good book for learning critical thinking called " nonsence" by Robert J. Gula.( it lists and explains logical fallacies in a comprehensive way)
If anyone wants to add anything to this, I am vary curious to find out.
Maybe an aproach, or a book, or theirown personal method for critical thinking.. etc..
Anywho, have a good day.

I absolutely say this! 😂 "If you spin one way make sure you spin the other to balance your vestibular".
💀
Surprised normal; Mom didn't say, “Their what?”
"But i think Karen is a lovely name" had me dying 😭💀
It is. Some of the sweetest, most caring people I’ve known were Karens. Some of the nastiest, vindictive people I’ve known were also Karens. Some of them were also Hannah’s, Taylor’s, Jessica’s, Alex’s... Maybe 2023 should be the year that we normalize not creating a stereotype around a specific name but rather around a specific shitty behavior.
Karen is okay. Karina sounds sexier. I'd name my children more Latino names if my husband wasn't so white ass about his legacy. Then again, my daughter's middle name is Eowyn by my choice, so...
@@hello_bye708 I agree. Maybe I'm just lucky because I've only ever met the lovely Karens. 😊
Thanks a lot. Just because someone’s name is Karen doesn’t mean they are rude. What is rude is using people’s names as a form of insult.
Karen IS a lovely name. Social media just ruined it.
I love how they're both judging eachother but still recognise that they're on the same team and should be allys
Team mom ftw
Why only one reply lol

The mom in the Coke shirt is the actual Karen, she literally started the whole problem.
Yeah because she actually sucks as a mom

Right? Lol

Wow……no…..just……🤣no. The helicopter mom is the true Karen. And, to be clear, that would be the mom without the shoes. I lived next door to a hippy-dippy Karen mom in San Diego for 7 years. I can identify them before they ever open their mouths.
Watch when they become best friends.
Makes me giggle that it appears as if
the Coke t-shirt is the only non crunchy item of clothing she owns.
You know she found it at a thrift store and is using it for acting 0 my gosh way too funny
Those jeans aren't crunchy either, for that fit they're about 50% plastic. I guess this is her 'silky outfit' 😆
Is she really crunchy?
@@Brutu_ No, I think she's making fun of the extreme of it all. It's quite funny imo
It had to be a white elephant gift 😹
I have to admit that I would find peas a weird snack and I like them.
Dried wasabi peas actually are a good snack. You do have to like spicy though.
I love sweet peas! If you ate canned peas, it would be a weird snack though
I luv peas exp the small tiny ones .. fresh from the garden Omg 😱 soooo yummy
I was a preschool teacher for awhile and I would see kids who packed their own snacks bring in olives or green beans lol

@@lollsazz Can you picture that? 😅
I love how even though they're very different, at the end they say "are you guys ok" at the same time showing how aside from their parenting choices both have the same goal: to love and raise their children as best as they can
I actually like how the crunchy mom thinks Karen is a beautiful name, like I know a lot of Karens that are so kind and respectful.
Me too!!!
then they aren’t karens 😂
@@pixelated23-b9z No bro like the name not the stereotype
i think that the name Karen has literally turned into a racial epithet (and it is racist, chauvanist, and misogynist, to boot) is evil. Yet the feminist CRT pro LBGT DEI pronoun obsessed folks would never admit the fact of this.
i know like 3 karens and i felt bad when the karen-is-bad wave began
I like how she called her a Karen but she was the one who took a stab at her to begin with.
Everyone gets called karens these days. When I was waitressing, my co workers called customers karens for even the most reasonable of complaints. The word has lost all real meaning.
@@Mink_Tracks God, it really has, hasn't it.
@@Mink_Tracks it’s just socially acceptable misogyny at this point.

Same thing I was thinking. The crunchy mom was being the nicer person in the situation (for the most part), while the silky mom was being the most judgemental and was the one who started the drama. Silky mom is 100% a Karen, not crunchy mom.
Oohhhh they're going to be best friends I can feel it

I agree with Crunchy, "Karen" is a lovely name.
Just sitting there, living her life, being attacked by a random mom.
We're just missing the mountain dew momma. She has cookie monster pajama pants on in the middle of the day and her kid is named Ryder.

My main take away is that I wish my kids would eat peas as a snack, or even the fruit chews… (both ASD, ADHD and SPD with major sensory/anxiety issues around food). Lol! Great video xx
I’m autistic and also have adhd and I love peas lol, maybe not as a snack, but definitely as a side dish. Just different people with the things you mentioned have different sensory preferences, for me is more with touch, can’t stand cardboard.

I love how no matter their differences, they were both still worried about their babies. Mom’s all out here just trying our best!🤣
“Peas are their sweet snack.” 😭💀those poor freaking kids
I'll bet they're sugar snap peas. They're not too bad plain. They're pretty darn good dipped in ranch dressing, which can be made at home with Greek yogurt!
We called peas fresh from the garden "garden candies". Family favorite soup is homemade garden candy soup.
The crossover of the crunchy/silky characters is my absolute fave 😂❤️
Low-key dried/baked peas are so good especially with a little salt. I hate cooked peas because they're squishy and mushy but the little crunch is 👌
100%
Have you tried dried okra.. ong lol.
I love how the coke mom feels so judged by crunchy mom’s personal choices that she calls Cunchy mom a Karen even though she’s literally just answering the questions being asked.
They were both judging each other, girl what?
Except for the peas as sweets.
And the coke mom is the one who started the judging. I don't find this funny. We have enough of this in the world already. Comedy that invites us to judge each other. Grrrrrrreat... How original.
Coke mum is most people and is rude to anyone who eats healthy food.
They literally put a *_silk dress_* on the "silky mom" to avoid confusion.
I think all that matters is that you treat your kids with kindness, like they are the most important thing in the world to you. They will turn out fine.
The one with the Coke shirt is the only one starting stuff while the other mom was just defending herself and throwing jabs back because she was being attacked for no reason.

The silky mom threw the first jab, and the crunchy still gives the benefit of the doubt with “fruit is good!”… I don’t understand how people still hate on the crunchy mom, she clearly is a sweet character
By the wayyy I'm loving momma's cute lil linen dress 😊 if I saw her as a kid I would have assumed that she's mother nature or something 🙈🙈

I loved this. Diff moms just want the same thing for their kids.
I am neither crunchy nor a mother, but I am addicted to these videos. I love the comedy, and Emily just seems really nice.

As a mother, I can tell you that this is very accurate. I've met many mothers just like this. It's wild.

NOT fucking true lol. Please don't ever become a parent, because just "loving" them isn't enough.

Best to keep you judgement for after you know the person.
😊
@@inthewindago Not that gotcha you think it is, considering I know I should never and have never wanted to be a parent due to C-PTSD and my own parent thinking them "loving us" was enough. Doesn't mean I can't say what good and bad parenting is.
Also not thinking someone should be a parent, because they think love is enough to be considered a good parent is considerably more valid than not wanting someone to be a parent, because they make "harsh snap decisions about others", which as a reminder I never made any "decision" about anyone, simply gave my opinion ❤️😊.
@@blueismylove3128 well as no one said the only thing needed to be a good parent was love. Your argument is irrelevant, you’re fighting with yourself.
Also I never said what my opinion of you was. As I don’t know you well enough to formulate one. I only pointed out that the same level of judgment you had for the poster. Could be used negatively against you.

I had an extra long appointment coming up so I told the kids if they behaved, we'd go to a museum. When we were at the appointment, my kids were all crunching carrots, reading books, and talking about the museum later. I was so uncomfortable because I felt like I looked like one of these judgy moms, haha.
Social anxiety is being embarrassed about making choices we all agree are good for us. 😬
Being embarrassed of awesome parenting?
So true.
Something similar happened to me once when my kids were snacking on apples and peanut butter. I was getting looks from other moms whose kids were eating fruit gummies and cookies in packets. Until then my main worry had been that there might be someone with a peanut allergy nearby.
I made no secret of the fact that I was a beer-swilling, cigarette-puffing, foul mouthed sheet rocker who ALSO took her kids to museums and operas, read Shakespeare's plays to them, and listened to classical music. ALL those judgmental types got to hate on me. Screw 'em all -- my kids (and grandkids) turned out great!

What us a crunchy mom? And a silky mom? Yall
Make all these terms i live under a rockkk😫😭
Crunchy mom is a mom that follows the natural path, no GMOs, red food die, etc. Breast milk, co-sleeping, natural remedies vs modern medicine. A silky mom is the opposite I guess? That's what I've gathered at least. I think I'm somewhere in between with maybe a crunchy lean. Kind of like a holistic Dr that can still prescribe antibiotics if they are really needed but prefers not to if possible....I used to be fully mainstream but have had a lot of health problems and kids health problems that modern medicine only made worse so we got on the natural path to some degree. Whatever works is best. 🤷 I have to Google these things too!
I'm confused af too
@@racheljones8935 how would following an unnatural path have to do with silkiness??
@@ametrineambrosia4929 I don't know, but that's just what I've gathered from watching these. I think silky mom means the opposite of crunchy mom. I'm not sure who came up with the terms or why they chose those terms. Maybe silky because it's what's mainstream so it's easier? 🤷 Idk. Whereas crunchy causes friction by going against norms🤷.
@@ametrineambrosia4929 also from what I've gathered I don't think silky vs crunchy is necessarily just natural vs unnatural. I think it also has to do with how strict the parents are when it comes to certain things. Ex- a crunchy mom wouldn't let her kids watch or listen to certain mainstream movies and songs. A silky mom might take her kids to the theater and to watch the latest kids movie without prescreening it and buy everyone a large popcorn slathered in that fake butter with a coke. I think the idea is also that a silky mom parents out of convenience. She buys disposable diapers vs cloth for example.
