- The sixth film in Monogram's "Rough Rider" series once again follows Buck Roberts (Buck Jones), Tom McCoy (Tim McCall), and Sandy Hopkins (Raymond Hatton) as undercover US Marshals posing as outlaws in order to confound their enemies. When Sandy is framed for murder by a gang of frontier racketeers who hope to take over a small town as their headquarters, Buck and Tom must work separately to save their buddy from a lynch mob and foil the crook's dastardly schemes.

"Rough Rider" hombres Buck, Tim and Ray in a great bait and switch. Sheriff Trump is none other than Glenn Strange and Harry Woods, aka the all-time meanest villain was great as Bert Logan.

By gobs where have all the cowboys gone! Sure took Tim awhile to get to the saloon and help Buck. In real life Buck joined the army at 16 and went to fight in the Philippines. Tough hombre.
i have seen 50 of tim mccoy's 71 b-westerns. the 21 i have never found are Shotgun Pass (1931), The Riding Tornado (1932), Cornered (1932), Man of Action (1933), Silent

@@kayyu4272 i am 76 and saw many of them many years ago on tv, and i have no idea on many as i search many movie sites besides youtube every day. it is frustrating that so many others have never been shown anywhere.
Fun group as always, and with a nice story variation, but whose bright idea was it to put all that happy mood-destroying coming attractions crap on the screen as the movie is ending? A lame move to be sure.
